I do, but please pardon the mess, it's still under construction:

Roni it looks great! I love that you put a currency converter on the front page!
BTW-the exchange rate is getting worse isn't it? :headache:Those hotels in Paris and Barcelona are costing me more everyday!

Ok maybe a silly question, is FE just for kids? I'm not sure that's why I didn't sign up.

And we've officially set a wedding date! August 19th! I cant believe how soon it is! I've already picked a beautiful spot on the River Walk in San Antonio for the ceremony. :cloud9:

Oh and you can add our names to the website.

RonBoBoni, could we be removed from the fish extender participation? (didn't know I signed up for it!) Don't know what it's all about, but its just us two adults, so it might be more for the kids.

Love the website!!! Can't wait for more!!:goodvibes

When I spoke to DCL last week, I was told that the cruise was fully booked and there were only a few cabins left. Plus, when I inquired about switching from late dining to early, I was wait listed, so that has to be a good sign. I highly doubt that they would do the same to this cruise, especially since they have already rebooked some of the Sept. 3rd cruisers.

The website looks fantastic! I love the flag/map icon you have at the top:goodvibes
I would like to send you a photo of our family for the roll call--how is the best way to do that?
Another Sept. 3 refugee here. DH and I are joining this cruise after the bad news of having to shift dates.:confused3 Just the two of us. I will read the previous posts soon, to catch up with everyone. We have done a 10 day Magic in the Med cruise, May 2009, and a Eastern Caribbean Magic cruise last December.

We would like to do FE's. One DIS cruise we were on had us pick one cruise day to make a FE run of all cabins. More than one person can choose the same day, as long as all days are covered. That way you only have to pack one day's worth of goodies. However, I will be happy to follow whatever system is decided upon.:thumbsup2

I am assuming that this cruise will be quite full if all us Sept. 3 people are being moved. Anyone know what's happening with the shuffle?

Diane
Hi and I am glad we will still sail together Diane.
I am trusting (hope I CAN) that DCL is not cancelling again. I think it is just almost full and they are holding off until all of us refuges are placed. We did get our new cabin numbers and were able to get four in a row and a connecting door (for us and the kids) in between the center two--I was happy DCL could do that for us. We also got to keep late dining (Roni--odd that you cannot switch as late dining is the one which usually fills up first for Med cruises--they are the opposite of the Caribbean in that way).

Congrats on setting a date. I love the river walk--it is so lovely.

Of course you can still drop out of Fish Extenders--but I know many adults with no children who love them. I think of it as much more for me that the kids. I know I put more thought into the adult gifts than the kid ones (kids are easy to please after all;))

Thanks. I love the River Walk. San Antonio is one of my favorite cities.
I wasn't sure if FE were just for the kids or if adults without kids participated too. Since you say yes we want to join in. :goodvibes

Fish Extender is also for adults. My husband and I don't have any kids and we love participating in the fish extender.

I vote for the method of doing one item for each stateroom at somepoint during the cruise. It worked out real nice on the panama canal cruise and then people just picked what day they were going to deliver their items.

Has anyone found shore excursions for Palma, Mallorca?

I have done fish extenders every which way. Personally I like everyone just delivering when they feel like it. It tends to spread out over the week all on its own--and then no one is stressed out over having to deliver on a certain day if something comes up:upsidedow
I'll do whatever though--except of it gets to be a HUGE group I hope we break into smaller groups. There is only so much luggage space to be had (as I said, I have seen 150 cabins oarticipate in one cruise:eek:)

FYI--so that everyone can breath a sigh of relief:

The cruise is showing up on the website again :woohoo:. Only categories 4 and 5 left. I do think they were just holding things off while they accommodated us September 3rd refuges.

Hi RoniBoBoni

I was able to move from late seating to early seating on the DCL website just two days ago so I don't know why you have been waitlisted. When I was checking the current prices for our cruise just before it disappeared off the system it was only showing main seating not late as available. I figured that many more people would prefer late due to the timings of the full days excursions coming back. Are you booked with a travel agent or direct with DCL? I would go to your reservation online and see if you can change immediately as I was able to do. Joy

Okay BWV Dreamin, i've removed the FE - not sure how I added that LOL.... maybe it's cause I wanted you to participate ;) I'm actually thinking of keeping the late dining, i've been reading that it is more relaxing not having to rush to early dinner.

Austraveler - i've added your info

sissy_ib - i've added your names. Also, congrats on setting a date!! :dance3:

TJFrack - I haven't done any research on Palma Mallorca yet, mostly cause I want to take it easy in this port since the shops and stuff close around 1 or so, but i'll do some peeking around for the website.

Fish Extender - I really like the idea of no schedule for delivering the gifts. I would like the flexibility to do it when I get some time, but am open to anything really. Dizmomof2, can you add me and mu hubby to the list, if the adults are jumping on board... i'll follow suit. Oh, and my lil ones are 7 and 3 (at time of sailing). ~ Thanks!

For the website: Anyone can message me a picture through disboards or email me @ ikeroni@hotmail.com - either way is okay with me :thumbsup2

I am still trying to change my date from the cancelled 3/9 cruise. I am dealing with one specific lady (or i have her name and number) and was worried the 27/8 will sell out. Hopefully i should be able to sort monday

What a great job you did making this website....I'm in the mood already, but still 204 days to wait LOL. It's also good to hear that this cruise won't be cancelled and it's rather full. We have booked the late seating for dinner, even with two younger kids because otherwise we have to hurry for dinner if we would go on excursions.
I'm trying to persuade my husband to join the fish extender, but he is thinking about it. He is afraid that it will be an obligation on his holiday and that I will overreact by bringing to much stuff onboard.....
Thanks for all the tips from everyone...If we are joining for the FE I have to use the tips to get us a nice FE.
Mimi

Hmmmm... that's strange, i'm working with a travel agent and confirmed the same thing that DCL told me when I called them. Well, we'll have to see, but I am thinking I want to keep the late seating now :rolleyes1

Just been looking round the website, thanks RoniBoBoni, its really great. I love all the links you have added especially the Rome stuff.
Please update our details on the shipmates list.

We greatly prefer the late dining--especially on the Med when the ports can run so late.
You can figure that your time zones will be so messed up anyway that it won't really feel any more off than you already would;)
We found it worked well to order room service snacks as soon as we got back to the room (or send one person up to deck 9 to grab some) and munch on those while we cleaned up and that held us well through the show and to dinner without us having to rush back to the ship.

I am still trying to change my date from the cancelled 3/9 cruise. I am dealing with one specific lady (or i have her name and number) and was worried the 27/8 will sell out. Hopefully i should be able to sort monday
I think there are probably lower level rooms left--but they are not offering them until they finish working with everyone like you--I am sure it will work out all right:goodvibes

We had booked a verandah room on the 3/9, I rang disney on thursday to say I am waiting for my work to say yes and could not tell her until monday, and was worried as the 27/8 cruise was selling fast and could she put a verandah on hold for me - she confirmed there was no need and ringing her on monday would be fine - I really hope so as noticed again today this date cruise is not available :sad2: I feel so stressed by it all

Roni--I see that you added our photo to the website--thanks for getting that p there so fast:thumbsup2

Ok So I think you all convinced me to do some external tours. Thanks Roniboboni for posting some links. I have contacted a tour company in italy that is willing to do all three italy tours for a total of 1,800 Euros which converts to $2445 USD divided by 6 people is 407.50 per person. Based on the DCL Cruiseline tours those are about 250 per person at each of the 3 ports so it is like buying 2 get 1 free. We could have up to 7 people in a van and then the price would be split per person. DH and I would have two seats so that would leave 5. Please let me know if you are interested and we could arrange this. I have posted the descriptions below of what we would do.

I can provide for you for services from the port of Livorno, Civitavecchia and Naples.

I provide personally for each service and, when I'm very busy, I use my associates.
I have a good team of professional english speaking drivers and guides, tour escorts and knowledgeable english speaking drivers.

In Tuscany, from Livorno port or La Spezia port, you can have me or my associate Daniele.
After your pick up,we will drive from the dock and we will arrive in Pisa where you can visit the leaning tower and the square.
After we will drive 45 minuts to Florence.
On Florence we will drive you to. let you visit the
the Duomo
The Giotto's tower
the Ponte Vecchio,
The Palazzo della signoria and if you wish,I can reserve for you the entrance on the Accademia museum to see the famous Michelangelo's David.
After we will drive you on the top of a hill to have a beautiful view of Florence.
At this point we will drive you back to the dock.
During the tour you willl have the time for your lunch and for your shopping.
It will be possible to have the lunch on a winery where you can tast the tuscany wine also.

In Civitavecchia you will have me or my partner and driving one hour ,we will arrive in the centre of Rome.
On the city we will drive you to visit many different sites such as
The Palatine
the Circus max
the Colosseum
the Roman forum
the Wedding Cake
The Pantheon
The Trevi fountain
The Spanish steps
San Peter Basilica and more if we can.
The car is full licenced to drive everywere and anityme you will be beside the sites with me as your driving/guide,without walking too much.
After the illustration , I will allowed you the right time to explore the sites.

We will start the tour visiting the most ancient sites and we will end the tour visiting the most modern.
So we will tour the city concerning the time, talking about the monuments and at the end of the tour, you will know this city, its monuments, its history, its legends.
After lunch time, we will go to the Vatican museum to visit the Sistine chapel and San Peter Basilica.
Me, my partner or one of my guides will guide you inside without additional cost.
After this I will drive you back to the dock.
During the tour of Rome you will have the time for your lunch.

In Naples you will have me or my associate Roberto.
From the dock of Naples we will drive to Positano (a beautiful fisherman's town on the ocean) and you will have one hour to visit the pedastrian area.
After Positano we will drive you to visit Sorrento (a wonderful town up the sea) and you will have time to visit the town and for your shopping.
After the shopping you can have your meal on a wonderful not fancy restaurant with a beautiful view of the coast.
At this point we will drive you to Pompeii to visit the ruins of the Roman town (if you wish you can have a guide - I can reserve one for you, because only the local guide can tour the site-cost is euros 100.00 for all of you).
After we will drive you back to the dock.

All the services are in deluxe minivans full air conditioned up 7 of you.
The minivans are full licenced to drive everywere and anytime we will be beside the monuments without walking too much.
