is AK really easier from MK resort than from EpCot resort?

Im hoping to have us at WL for 3nights then BC for 6. Was thinking of a MK day while at WL since its so much easier and a WL day. EpCot & MGM during our BC stay.
Should we wait till later during our vaca to go to AK? is it really easier to get there from a MK resort? Its bus either way, right?

AK is a much closer bus ride from BC than WL. However, I would go any time, what is a few extra minutes when you are vacation

Yes, AK can only be accessed by bus or car.

Yacht and Beach Club share a bus and are a bit closer than WL and GF, which also share a bus, so that would account for it being a little bit longer trip to AK from the WL.

The bus ride from WL to AK is approx. 20-25 minutes. You will generally make a stop at the GF first.
