Hi I have a 7.40pm ADR for Beirgarten at Epcot will this be too late for us to veiw Illuminations.at 9pm.Also is the restaurant close to viewing area. Thanks for any help.

It is buffet style so how long you want to stay eating is up to you and your family. I haven't eaten there myself, but I know there is live entertainment inside that can distract those eating, if you want to eat and get out in a hurry.

I think you should be fine if you get seated right at or before your 7:40 ADR. An hour eating and enjoying the atmosphere should be sufficient.

In terms of viewing places - one of my favourite spots is right outside the Germany pavilion. Right across from the little place selling beer on tap are a couple benches. We find we can see the entire lagoon from there. Depending on how busy it is when you're visiting though, that area might be full if you're not there at least a half hour before Illumination begins.

You can see Illuminations from anywhere around the lagoon. It's a beautiful presentation. Enjoy!

Personally, I would not want to spend the entire meal watching the clock to make sure I get out in time.

As the PP said, the Biergarten is a buffet, so you can pace the meal yourself. They general seat fairly on-time, but I've had to wait after my ADR time to be seated (I think the max was 30 minutes).

So, overall, I would say it would be possible to get out just as IllumiNations is starting, but you won't have a lot of buffer time and you might have to just find the first available spot to watch IllumiNations.
