We go to disney every year in December for our long trip, but i'm back and need to get there sooner..lol. So, I was thinking about going for 4 nights in June when my kids get out of school. Is that enough time? I mean I know it's never enough, but with it being hot and crowded I thought it might be ok. Plus since we are going in December too, I need to not spend too much money..lol. Also we were going to be going from a Tuesday-Saturday. Is Fridays and Saturdays in June a huge difference crowd wise from the weekdays?

I think it's definitely enough time if you are flying down, but not if you are driving. We have typically gone down in June, but this past year went the week of Thanksgiving. I didn't notice too much of a difference in the crowd levels, but the heat and humidity is what really gets you, IMO. Still, it's not that bad if you travel light, lots of sunblock and hydrate frequently.

I would be enough as long as you are prepared for a shorter trip. If it was me I would try for Saturday - Wednesday or Sunday - Thursday. Friday and Saturday are very busy especially in June when the schools are out in Fl.

I went this past June, after school just like you. It was hot hot hot. I think most days were around 100, but I don't think that was a typical June. I prefer five nights over four (i have done both), but would do four if that's all I could do. Maybe you can do the kids play free deal. Have fun!

I'm not flying but i'm taking the train. I was going to do the auto train like we always do, but i'm thinking about doing just regular amtrak. That way we're scheduled to arrive in Orlando at 10:30am and departure day we don't leave until 7:30pm. So that would allow extra times those days for park time.

We typically go in June. The last few years have been really hot, 100 hot. And this past June we saw big storms every day, that lasted for an hour or more. These rains were not the kind you can just put on a poncho and go. They were more like stay where you are until the monsoon ends. We sat in the parking lot at Downtown Disney for 30 mins waiting for a break in the rain that never came. We ended up going back to our condo and the rain ended after almost 2 hours.

However the parks are open longer and you can avoid the midday heat and still have lots of park time. I don't think the day of the week matters. We've been to the MK on a Saturday two years in a row and it was not as crowded as another day in the week.

For me, I look at the EMH parks and avoid them if we don't have hoppers, which explains our Saturdays at the MK.

Disney is great whenever you go. Just be prepared for high humidity and a rain storm everyday as well as crowds.

and we go commando. Get park hoppers and do fast pass and have a plan. Eat on the run and avoid table service meals. Use early and late extra magic hours. Use shows to take a rest.

Pick your favorite parks for your full days and the partial days use for catch up and the not so favorite parks.

Sleep on the train; so everyone is rested for the park the first day. Go to bed the night before much earlier, too.

We did a 4 night w/our grandson last Sept. and it was fine. It was his first time. We didn't mind a short trip as we had already been on two longer trips. Would definitely do 4 nights again.

I would do 4 nights, kind of like snack waiting for the big meal to get done. I personally would hit as many week days as possible and stay away from the weekend, but that would be my own personal choice. We usually try to arrive on Sunday.

I think as long as you go down with a plan of what everyone wants to do and then realize that ulu are coming back in decmeber and think that way you can do it. We have done a 5 day trip and it was hard to leave.

Here's my take...

If you ONLY HAVE 4 nights, then yes, it is enough. You've been enough it sounds like that you know what to expect in that amount of time.

However, do you have AP's or other types of passes? It is SO EXPENSIVE to go for only 4 or so nights - since the first 3 - 4 days of tickets are the most expensive, and then it gets so inexpensive after that. So - the train and the tickets (unless you have AP's or other) will be your biggest ticket items, and those will be approx the same whether you stay 4 or 10 nights. Makes it a much more 'budget' trip to spread out those big costs over more days.

Also, a thought on the summer thing - when we go in the heat, I actually prefer MORE days rather than fewer. Because when we get hot and sweaty and if it gets to be too much, we leave the park and go hang at the pool in the afternoons. To try to do 10 - 12 hours in summer heat, in my family, is way too much. So we go for fewer hours but spread out over more days.

If it was me - I'd try to add a night or two. And then maybe just adjust to a less expensive hotel. Likely will cost about the same.
