Is 3 days at Magic Kingdom too many?

I would do three MK days. That was our original plan on our 5 day pass (3mk, 1 Epcot, 1 ak) but we switched out one of the MK for HS and I regretted it. My 4 and 5 yos both said they would have rathered a third MK day and I would have too! We did everything we wanted in the two days but would have liked to repeat even more!

Yes...too many days (going against the grain here!)
Keep in mind this comes from somwonewho goes a week but only does 2 or 3 park days.
Mk is awesome but also crazy busy. AK is probably our fav. We just went with 2 under 3 and it was more enjoyable.
My reco?
1 or 2 day mk.
Park hop AK and epcot same day.
Relax at pool the rest of time...you and kids will welcome the down time. Hit the playgrounds...just actually relax and take vacation from vacation.

The other parks are just more laid back and I think it even shows in the guests. People aren't as worried about the perfect day, perfect pic etc.

We skip hs everytime haha. My husband even worked there and had no interest. Only hop there if you go at all.

Wow! Thanks for the advice everyone. Yes, we have 3 little girls and they are going to love all things MK, including the princess activities. We at the Polynesian so MK will be easy to get to. Looking forward to it. Now, I am wondering if we should do AK or HS? Or do a park hopper and do both in 1 day? We are trying to squeeze in a lot... maybe too much. I have to start planning our next Disney trip now... lol.

Don't skip ak...I think it is soooo kid friendly. Hs...yes. skip for the next few yes lol.

You could leave your last day open and then let everyone can decide which park they want to go back to. One year DS decided that Epcot was amazing so we spent more time there since everyone agreed. Epcot isn't like it was of course but you never know.

The only problem will be getting really good FP+ so late. But if that doesn't matter on that last day then maybe stay flexible? Whatever you decide three days is not too much at MK. MK is really the main reason for going to WDW. I would skip DHS and never skip AK personally.

Yes. We talked about this as well. I think we will plan on being in MK for 3 days and plan on being in MK for our last day... and if the kids really want to do something else on our last day, we will remain flexible and make a last minute audible if we have to. Thanks for the advice on AK too! :)

Hi guys - We are heading to Disney World for 5 days in the fall. It's my first time going! :)

Our family has three small children(all under 5 years old). We know that we want to spend at least 2 days at Magic Kingdom. We also want to spend 1 day at Epcot and 1 day at Animal Kingdom... So we are debating where to spend our last day. If we do decide to go to MK for a third day, is that overkill? We want to go to a place where our 3 little ones will have lots to see and do. Epcot is huge and I'm sure we could easily spend another day there, but MK seems to be more geared towards smaller children.

Thoughts?
we love spending three days at MK. For us its plenty of time to do everything we want with a 3 & 5 year old and not feel rushed, M&G, ride all we want, shows, leave for a break come back. This year we will have two full days and one evening at MVMCP fora total of three days at MK.

We are doing 3 MK days. Granted, 1 is our arrival day so we aren't planning to be in the park til afternoon and we have 7 park days, but I agree that 3 is not too many.

I think it would be great to squeeze in Hollywood Studios if you can, but if not, definitely go to MK on your last day.

I agree with the others, 3 days at MK is not overkill. However, given that your kids are so young and you are planning to be in the parks 4 of 5 days already it may be worthwhile to plan a day off in the middle of the week to relax by the pool and rest.

I don't know how people go to the parks every day. After about 2 days of park touring I'm ready for a day at the resort or the water parks. My family just cannot keep up that pace for more than 2 or 3 days without getting cranky.

Three days or more at MK is ideal for us. We always try go there on our first and last day and then one in between.

We did 3 full days, and an evening for MSEP and Wishes on this trip. That was the perfect amount for us.

The really nice thing about three days at MK is that you can relax a bit as parents and not feel like you NEED to do everything in each visit. Some of the "smell the roses" attractions are great for younger kids. Ride the train around the park, ride the people mover... things like that. And above all, with three days you can make sure your little ones get back to the room for a nap so they are well rested. I think 3 days is a great way to make sure it stays fun and does not become a "return on investment" sprint. Have fun!

We never enjoyed going for full days back to back either. Our solution was to take breaks in the afternoon when it's hot and overly crowded anyway. One day we would stay to see the parade but other days we'd be out be 1:30 or 2 and we would come back around 6 or 6:30. This kept that exhaustion from setting in at least for a while. ;)

Honestly, yes.

There's only so many times you can do the same thing. Spend some more time in EPCOT!

Doing what? Seriously asking. All the atractions in epcot right now are once in a trip and some of them one in a lifetime are more than enough. Unless the frozen ride or soarin is open epcot kind of sucks for little kids right now.

We did 4 days at MK last trip and could have done more, so no I don't think 3 days is too many.
