I have a colleague who drives me nuts! :headache:

He's in the office next to me and plays music very loud and sings along...and it's the same songs all the time, honestly if I hear that stupid James Blunt with 1973 one more time I'm going to take the cd out of the player and slit his throat with it !!!

His office is between mine and our director's... she doesn't say anything... the office buzz is that he's her pet and can do no wrong. I believe that as he comes and goes when he wants and has a real devil may care attitude.. so it doesn't really matter what you say as he ignores it anyway...

Just had to get it off my chest.... my colleague's in a meeting so I can't complain to her ;)

How about hiding the CD??? LOL. Or take pic of the CD with a ransom note. Just for a laugh he might get the hint. It would be something my ex work office would do.

I know what you mean. My poor husband gets annoyed with his colleague. Forever moans that he is busy, yet he spends all of his time on Betfair On gaurenteed wins. I cant remember how it is or how it works. He knows what he is doing. Spends all day doing this. When my husband is run off his feet and having to answer to all the auditors. Some people are annoying! Get away with it.

I think every workplace has one :confused3

ahhh, tis the way of the world.

You could always try a bit of reverse pychology and say you love that song and sing along to it very badly, every time.:upsidedow

hiding the CD seems like a good idea to me ;)

This would give you short term peace, but be careful, if you hide it and youre found out life could be made hard for you, especially if he's the boss's pet!

I like the idea of singing along really badly! have you thought of listening to your own music with noise cancelling headphones? If youre allowed.

I love the idea of the ransom note - turn it into a huge joke and if he over-reacts, he looks bad, teacher's pet or not.

I could do that, it would be pretty easy as his desk is always a tip ;)

I just think it would be funny giving him a ransom note. Can just imagine it lol.

The old guy who sits opposite me should have retired about 148 years ago but didn't as our company had 'no objection' to keeping him on.

Every single lunchtime, he has a yoghurt and licks the lid of said yoghurt very very loudly ... a horrible slurping sound which drives me to insanity.

Trouble is, once you find one thing that annoys you about someone, you tend to pick up on every little thing that would normally pass you by. For my guy, it's his loud phone voice, the way he replaces random words with the word 'thing' and how he tells everybody who phones or comes into the office the same story ... I get to hear it a thousand times ... ok, a little exaggeration there!!

For your guy, the ransom note sounds great. I would be more inclined to put it in the shredding machine though!! :rolleyes1

I like James Blunt but not all the time.
