Irons and Ironing Boards?

Nope. The laundry rooms (3 of them??) have an iron and ironing board.

DCL does not want people to use irons in their room as they are a fire hazzard. The ship does move and there is a much greater chance an iron can fall over on board a ship than in a hotel room.

I'm trying some of that anti-wrinkle spray stuff for the basics...figured for a few $$ it was worth a shot. :)

We used the anti-wrinkle spray. It works well for knits.

For things that really need ironing, we brought a travel iron, then took it to the laundry room to use it. I don't think DCL prohibits brining your own iron, just using it in the cabin.

Several people have had problems with stuff on the iron that's in the laundry rooms. It isn't constant, but I'd hate to ruin a nice shirt or outfit, especially since there wouldn't be another one I could just pull out of the closet.

If you don't want to take your own travel iron, be sure to check the ships' iron before putting it on your clothes, and take a hand towel from the cabin to put down on anything delicate.

Thanks for the input, Lisa! I actually wondered if there were issues with the irons what with so many people using them - one of our last ones got rust stains on the bottom and I ruined a white shirt with it, I'd hate to have that happen on board. I am bringing a small travel iron...

I find it interesting that my hair straightener (which I could probably use as an iron! *grin*) and curling irons are ok, but the teensy little iron is dangerous!
