There are blow dryers in the room but no irons are permitted in staterooms..they have one in the laundry room if you need one or you could just send them out on the ship to be pressed.
Yes, there are hair dryers in the staterooms. But if you happen to have long hair, you could be in your stateroom all day long waiting for these low wattage hair dryers to blow dry your hair.
My best suggestion is bring a good blow dryer and an extension cord and do your hair in the stateroom at the vanity!
Irons are located in the laundry rooms. Better yet, send it out to be pressed! You're on vacation!!
I cannot stress enought - BRING YOUR OWN HAIR DRYER! Yes the ones in the staterooms are totally useless, even if you have short hair. Also, the extension cord idea is a MUST! There are no where near enough outlets in the rooms and some of them are VERY close to the top of desk or a vanity, meaning if your hairdryer, curling iron, cell charger, etc is bulky at all, it simply will not fit. Bring an extension cord most definitely!
If you are picky about a hair dryer bring it. Our experience was different the the posts above. The dryers are standard 1500 watt hotel dryers. We use a 1200 watt at home, so the one on the ship was more powerful than DD is used to. She has long very very very thick hair, and it was too hot for her.
We sure wouldn't bring one based on our expereince, but it's like every other debate on this board (coke vs pepsi, butter vs margarine, what brand coffee on board....etc....etc) it is just a matter of personal preference.
Hey love2camp, Unless you plan on having frizzies bring your own hair dryer. Hopefully your hairdresser won't be on board!!!!!!!!! although the minute you go out by the sea air hair usually freaks out anyway. for
If you have short hair the hair dryer in the cabin is fine- I have shor hair and it dryed my hair in about 15 min not bad but it is not strong is right...
Irons well -- you are not suppose to bring them on board -but it is done
no where to really iron though you would have to use the plug in the vaniety and use the coffee table with a towel as the iron board....but they perfer you don't use one.
