Ironman

I saw it today and really liked it. I'm not into sci fi or fantasy, so I really had no desire to see it, but I was pleasantly surprised.

We usually stay for the credits and I'm glad we did this time!

Just got home from seeing it. I actually thought it looked stupid and didn't want to go, but my brother dragged me to it. I was really surprised! Robert Downey Jr. did a great job! I loved all the sass. And it doesn't hurt that he's incredibly attractive. :rolleyes1

Can someone please pm me what happened after the credits? We had DS5 with us so we didn't stay for the credits. TIA

We saw Ironman today and it was GREAT!!!! Robert Downey Jr did an awesome job!! I heard on the news that the producers were skeptical about giving the part to Robert. This was the best decision they made. I can't imagine anyone else playing that part. DH & I said we could see this movie again!

Yes we also stayed after the credits thanks to you all!! I was surprised how many people knew to stay after the credits!! A must see!!

Great Movie!

And I stayed till after the credits....ALL 10 MINUTES!!!!!:rolleyes1
:lmao:

But I didnt understand it AT ALL!!!!!:lmao: :lmao:
Someone please PM what it meant!:confused3

DISUNC,what you saw after the credits is alluding to a major part of the Iron Man comic books.

I haven't seen it yet, but I will in the next few days.

There must be some subliminal message in this movie, though. The movie critic for the Richmond newspaper gave Iron Man 3 out of 4 stars. This is from a critic who has trashed every superhero movie in the past few years, including the X-Men movies, the Spider-Man movies, and Batman Begins, all of which generally got very good reviews. Heck, the guy gave the Lord of the Rings movies at best 2 out of 4 stars.

That is odd because while Iron Man is good, it is NOT better than those movies you listed. lol

My kids all came out raving that it was so much better than all of the Spider-Man movies. My three year old (yes, we took the three year old to see Ironman, I offered to take her to see Horton Hears a Who again, but she didn't want to) was jumping up and down about how cool it was and he was so much cooler than Spidey because he can fly, without a web. :rotfl: My husband has geeked out the girls.

Next weekend they're going to a comic book convention. ;)

DH stayed for the end credits, the kids and I waited outside, I have no idea what I missed, but I'm pretty sure my bum is still numb.

ok can somebody pm me with the details on the scene after the credits - I didn't stay for it either.

LOVED IT!!!

Robert Downey Jr. was fantastic, he made the movie. He looked really hot too!

Stayed through the credits since I went with my parents. Dad likes to scan the credits for acquaintances, but it worked out well with the ending scene, a nice surprise.

I read it was expected to make 95 million this weekend and made 32 mil. on Friday alone.

I like superhero movies but I didn't feel that this one "felt" like a superhero movie.

I mean - it was, but it also wasn't.

LOL - I'll just shut up now because I don't know how to say what I'm trying to say!!! :rotfl:

We did the same thing! We were looking for the name of my former co-worker's husband. He works for Marvel. His name wasn't up there though. I think he mostly works on comic books.

I actually went to see this Friday at the 1:00 showing....that was SOLD OUT! I could not believe the number of people there during the middle of a work day to see this movie.

It was GREAT! Loved every minute of it.:thumbsup2

I missed the scene at the end of the credits:headache: ...someone please PM me.

I was thinking of taking my 6 and 8 year old boys, but I worry that the Tony Stark lifestyle (naked women, alcohol) will be too mature for them, and I also am worried that the violence may be too much (too graphic). They have seen Spiderman movies and Fantastic Four, but we have not allowed them to see Batman Begins.

Any advice?

Well he has a glass of scotch in almost every scene as Tony Stark, LOL, but my kids probably thought it was just iced tea. ha ha ha.

There is just one scene of a girl, but she's covered in a sheet. I'm pretty sure most kids wouldn't say a thing about it. My girls didn't ha ha ha.

I would say the violence is on par with Spider-man. For the record, Batman Begins is the best super hero movie ever made. ha ha I don't think it's more violent than Spider-man.
