okay so I made my son and I a shirt and we wore them this past saturday to MK..and my son really dirtied his shirt up..there's even a spot on the actual iron on...so I was wondering...how do you wash the shirts? any tips..i read the directions on the iron on transfers but I'm worried they are going to mess up if I put them in the wash but I wouldn't be hand wash beause there's too many stains!

my second question is...

if I want to put an iron on transfer on the front and the back of the same shirt...should I wait like a day to do so?

Hey Momma Mouse - :rotfl2: I am laughing because our screen names are so similar!!

Anyway - I've made TONS of Iron on shirts for my kids and they wash just fine. I always hang them to dry, though it is supposed to be fine to use the dryer. I use SHOUT on stains on the shirts, but have never used it on the actual Iron on itself, and would be leary too. Hopefully the stain on the transferred part is not to bad and will fade with time.

To answer your 2nd question, I usually do back Irons at the same time, I use a big wooden slab that I wrap the shirt around to protect the transfer on the other side. You want to make sure whatever you use beneath the shirt can handle the heat of the iron and your pressure. I would not iron on the 2nd side without a layer of something between the front and back, even after they are Ironed on, the transfers are still heat sensitive.

Good luck!!!!

lol on momma mouse

thanks for the tips...makes sense on the second part..having something in between the shirt.....thanks!!
