Ireland or Germany?

We are struggling with this one. Dh and I are celebrating our 25th anniv. next year and I will be hitting the big 5 0. We want to take the trip in early August. My son will be 19 and my daughter will be 15. Both itineraries suit us. Any opinions??

We did Germany last July. Loved it. London / Paris ABD was our first - wonderful trip for our first time in Europe. Germany we felt we were more immersed in the culture of the area . Scenery was gorgeous, food was fabulous. Ireland is on our wish list. You can't go wrong whichever you choose! ;-). "SingingMom" ....Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Much more to see in Germany, but it's best to know some german at least. Ireland is beautiful too, and they do understand English

I went on Ireland five years ago and enjoyed it very much. A few things on the itinerary have changed since then but it still seems like a great trip. On my last ABD to France, fellow adventurers had been on the Germany trip and they had loved it. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

We didn't speak a word of German and everyone was wonderful to us on our tour! The only place that we could have used it was in Waldeck when we went to a little local Italian restaurant. But even there, we did fine! What a great trip!!
