I'm not sure where to post this, but I have a couple of questions about the touch. I have a touch, just bought dd one and set up so I could load her music on it before Christmas. I set it up as a "new device". Now when I go to the app page, it has all my apps there. Can I have these apps on my touch and her touch? Is there a limit on how many we share? Most of these are the free "lite" versions of the apps. Also, can I put movies from our dvd's on it? how do I do that? Any help would be appreciated! I'm not very tech savy when it comes to these things. Heck I don't have playlists, b/c I can't figure that out! :confused3

Apps, music, and video can all be shared from a central library. You simply choose which particular options are going on iPod A vs iPod B. The easiest way to put a movie on the Touch is to buy one of the discs that features a "digital copy". Many deluxe versions(2 disc, opposed to basic 1 disc) are now featuring this. There are alternative ways to put most videos on there, but it involves a conversion process and a program called Handbrake. Some of the digital copies we have purchased in the last year have included Bolt and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Quick and easy.

All of your itunes purchases (including apps) can be shared by all...as far as I know. We share ours.

As far as putting movies on it, the digital copy is definitely the easiest if you get those packages. You can also rent and purchase movies through itunes. For others, we use handbrake (although I think the newer version is handbrake lite), which is really easy once you figure out which settings work best. There is a specific setting for the best ipod choice. We used this to back up movies we purchased for the kids, since they are always getting scratched. The kids each have a nano, and are able to watch their own movies wherever they go.

Could I ask a question on your I touch thread.....taking advantage of the I-touch savy DISers.

This is our second I-touch, a 3rd generation 32 gb. Needed more room and the speaker.
75 days into it and this situation is now chronic...plugging in the cord to charge it is saying that charging is not supported by this accessory. THis is the on the the new usb that came with it, the I-touch converter to AC, and the I-touch Apple car charger.....They all work on the previous I-touch. I even bought a new cord...

No help at the CS except to send back for repair. I do not want to send this in and get some refurbished item back. Is it software glitch as Amazon told me, could it be a software patch needed and not repair, should I drive the hour to the nearest store first before sending it back?
