IPOD Touch Question

Since you guys are so knowledgable about everything..thought I would check here since I can't find an answer.

Does anyone know how to transfer an IPod touch to another computer without having to erase it when it syncs??

Do you have a new computer? If so, you can copy the iTunes library in my music to the new computer and re-sync. You will lose your playlists, tho. If you're trying to get Your iPod's songs on another computer, Apple makes it difficult because of the pesky drms and copyrights. There is software that it can be done with, just google move iPod to new computer. Be warned, tho, because you're trying to get around a rule, there is a LOT of junk software that promises a lot, but doesn't work.

Our computer crashed we lost our library. You can enable sharing with multiple computers (which I still haven't done with our new computers).

We changed our settings to manual synching & it didn't erase what was already on our ipod. It did copy what we had bought from itunes onto the new computer from the ipod but all the cds I had put into our library on the crashed computer weren't copied. They stayed on the ipod but we couldn't put them on the other ipod.

Thanks. My husband looked into the link. He isn't worried about the music. He is worried about the apps (games that he plays and reaches levels on) on his ipod. He cant sync the ipod without the ipod wanting to to erase it first.

Funny I just bought a new computer and was wanting to get my info games and music on it in case my old computer crashed and when I tried to get it to sync to the new computer , that is what it said my itouch memory would be erased... yikes... I am not to tech savy so just gave up as for now the old computer does work.. but my other problem is I have dial up and that is also why I wanted to put everything on the new laptop so I could download stuff when I was down at my daughters house, she has wifi... Oh I remember now I wanted to update the itouch to a higher number like 4.3 so I could download a game that needed and upgrade in operation sysytem and when I tried to do it on the new laptop is said it would erase everything on the itouch!!!!! mostly I do not want to lose my apps like your DH. Most of the music on it is mine or I got for free or a few 99 songs...
Thanks for asking that question, I will hope wait for an answer that a loooow tech older person can understand...
