My daughter received a 2gb nano for her birthday and we loaded a bunch of songs on it. Now, she has received a 30gb video and the younger daughter has a new 2gb nano. Can we get some of the songs from the original nano to the new nano and to the video? The original one will become mine, but my older daughter wants all the music from the first nano on the new video one and my younger wants "some" of the music from the original on hers. How does all that work? I'm not even sure I know how to do all this. Thanks!

This was on a thread recently, but it may have been another board.

Google SharePod and follow those instructions.

Where is the computer that has the Itunes with the music you have in the IPOD you want to transfer FROM?

You should be able to use up to 5 IPOD devices per computer and mix and match songs from one computer to those devices.

If the computer is lost and the songs ONLY reside on the old IPOD, then do the SharePod google above.

I've read the other thread, but I can't seem to find the answer to my newest problem. We registered the new nano to my younger daughter's name then it automatically started adding the entire library from the original nano to the new one. Unfortunately, my younger daughter doesn't want all the music from the original nano on hers. So, I stopped it and was able to eject the ipod, but still 82 songs were added to it. She doesn't want all those and wants to add some of her own. How do I add just some of the songs and let her be able to add her own music? I'm so confused.

ugadog: I sent my husband (Toddp3) a link to this thread. I Can't explain it as he manages the library and just syncs me up.

Thank you. I don't know what I've done.

This is ugadog not keypooh, by the way.

Is there a program like Sharepod that works for Macs.

I want to be able to transfer music from my ipod back onto my iBook but Sharepod is only for windows it seems :sad1: .

Just set the iPod to manual instead of automatically syncing. Then you can just drag and drop the songs you want onto the iPod.

Hey, just letting you know that I responded over here with some questions that I need answered before I feel comfortable answering.
