Ipod Nano....white or black???/

I am going to order the nano's for my 2 dd's. I don't know which I should order. The white or black?? I think I need to order the same for both (I am going to get them engraved). I wish I would have thought to somehow get an idea from them but it is a little late now and I want to order them tonight!

Anybody see both the colors in person?? What is your opinions??

Most teens want the black. My DD(14) wanted the black, but I had already bought the white because I also bought the 5 different color protectors and I thought they would look better on the white one.

Both look pretty cool---white seems to be the more traditional iPod "color" though.

Personally, I'm waiting until they actually make colored Nanos--both seem so blah after having a pink one for so long!

I wanted the black one, but they only had the white one in the store. As long as it plays my songs, it doesn't really matter to me what color it is. The white has grown on me though.

Thanks everyone. I was leaning towards the black ones...I am just going to engrave them with their first name and the year underneath.

I am ordering straight from apple and it says as long as I order by the 19th I would get them by the 24th...but underneath it says "no guarantee and they can change at anytime" or something like that....I sure hope they come in by then.

I think they will be surprised. They "think" they are getting the shuffles since DH has a BIG mouth!!

At least I can say "I started Christmas shopping" now!!! LOL!!!!

We bought dd17 nano ipod at the Apple store...she is getting it for Christmas. She wanted white....they had both. Be sure to look into the educational discount if you qualify. I saved $$ as I am affiliated with a school.

I saw that when I was searching for some coupon codes. I am not really affiliated with a school...although I am a "former" student...LOL....and even then, it only allows 1 nano per school year to buy....I just didn't want to chance anything screwing up....

They are on order though!! I have "officially" started my shopping!!!!!!!!!

I ordered the black one for DH. I figured it would show less hand dirt. Anyway, I paid the xtra $10 for rush delivery since we are going out of town this weekend and had it in 2 days. I ordered it last Fri and got it Mon.

Only complaint I heard about the black is it shows scratches and smudges a to more then the white. With the white you really dont see it. Thats the main negative thing about the black.

Just get them a protective cover/"skin".
