Finally getting ready to get an IPhone.:cool1:

I was wondering if there are any opinions on which carrier is better - AT&T or Sprint.

Thanks for the info!

Where I live, AT&T is dramatically better than Sprint.

I'm on the 450 minute/month plan, with unlimited texting, unlimited mobile to any mobile, unlimited nights and weekends, 3GB of data, and the premium insurance plan. I pay just over $100/month when all taxes and fees are considered.

I've never had a problem with service, except in very urban areas, i.e., large cities.

I'd compare plans for both and ask people in your area what service they have and whether or not they like it. I think it all depends on geographic location to be honest.

Sprint still offers unlimited data. Depending what you plan to do on your phone that may be reason enough to choose Sprint.

Who is your current carrier? Who provides the best service with no (or less) dropped calls. While Sprint would be cheaper with unlimited data ($79.99 for your line and factor in any employee discounts), what is their call quality? I know in various portions in the Inland Empire (in Southern California), their calls drop like crazy, you can barely hear people, etc.

So, besides looking for cheaper, you need to see about call quality, dropped calls, customer service, etc.

Although Sprint has unlimited data we've found the quality and drop calls to be horrible. My brother and mother continue on with Sprint but we switched to AT&T and love it. They continue to drop calls and we have to call on there home line if we're talking to them while they are there.

Apple added a new carrier this week, nTelos, to the Sprint, Verizon, ATT trio. The phone is definitely less expensive. The data is unlimited but not sure if it is less than Sprint. The company operates on Sprint network.

Ask your friends and family which carrier works better in your area. Verizon works better where I live, AT&T is a close second and Sprint absolutely sucks IMO but in other areas in the country this isn't always the case.
