iPhone Fan's Today Is The Day!

I tried, but it errored in the "select a store for pickup", so I gave up,, but then got an email later telling me to pick it up on the 19th at my "selected store". Go figure. And now I can't, of course, get thru on the phone unless I want to be on hold for "1-2 hours".

Sigh.

Try again on-line when you get a chance. Last night I kept getting the same emails you're getting, because there was a problem with the Apple website. Finally about 9 PM they took the ordering site down for "maintenance", according to a message on the page. About 9:30 PM the site was back up error-free and allowed me to complete the pre-order process, including picking out the particular model, color, data plan changes (I do not currently have a data plan at all), etc. and finally accepting credit card info. It gave me an order #, but no confirmation email at first, so I just printed out the order # page for safekeeping. I got the order confirmation email this morning. :banana:

Ok, sot he other question I need answered is HOW to pre-order 2 iPhones for a family plan. There's commentary everywhere that it's only set up for single order, and to "start here" for further info, but never getting anywhere to answer the how-to.

I had to go to the AT&T store near me to do that. I even had to do them one at a time there, but I was able to get both of my phones on order.

After being on hold and talking to Apple for a total of 90 minutes, the rep I was talking to took my number after her supv. didn't have a great answer and called AT&T for me (!!!), then called me back. I did 2 separate orders and was given the # to call ATT to merge them into a family plan. Yeah!!!!
One 16gb and one 32gb on their way to the house! :cool1:
 
I just hope that Apple is aware of the new upcoming DIS Unplugged iPhone app and has tested it extensively, because if that doesn't work with 3.0, what's the point?:goodvibes


Apple HAS to be aware of the app if it is going to be offered to iPhone users since Apple approves ALL apps. There have been many apps that were not approved by Apple and will never be offered to iPhone users (unless your iPhone is cracked).
