I just bought an iPhone today and turned down the extended warranty for $6x.xx. I have 7 days to change my mind and add it on. Is it worth it? What does it cover/not cover? The info listed didn't tell me too much. I am generally not rough on electronics, but accidents do happen. Thanks for any opinions and experiences you can share! Loving the iPhone so far! :thumbsup2

Personally I'd say yes. We have a family of 5 all with iphones (for nearly 2 years now). In that time I think we've now gone through 12 phones. All were covered under the plan except for the two they consider "user error" - it doesn't cover anything that's your fault (I'm assuming you're buying the plan through Apple - I know stores like Best Buy offer their own plans and some cover everything). One was my son dropping the phone on a hard surface and the screen shattered. The other was a different son thinking it was a good idea to stick his phone in a gym bag with a wet swimsuit and towel. (incidentally they have an internal sensor that changes color if the phone was exposed to moisture so they can tell if you did something stupid like this!).

I do have to question though what you're buying and why you have to within 7 days. I know our phones came with a one year warranty automatically and we had until it expired (a year later) to add on the extended warranty (for the second year). Also, just curious, but why did you buy one now when they just announced yesterday the new "improved" iphone coming out in a couple weeks?
