Int'l Gateway to Epcot opening time?

Is it possible to enter EPCOT through the International Gateway (on foot) before World Showcase opens? I know that the Gateway comes out between two countries in the WS, and that WS opens later than Future World. We are early risers, and will typically be at the parks when they open, but I'm concerned that we won't be able get in through the International Gateway at the opening time for Future World. Has anyone done this?? Thanks!

Yes, I did this a few weeks ago when I was at BCV. Many people assured me that I could, and sure enough when I went at 9:00, it was open-and virtually no line to get in! Best part of staying at Epcot resorts, IMHO, is going into WS before opening. Weather was nice, so I just sat on a bench in WS and listened to the music. Most people were headed toward FW, but I just sat-next time I'm bringing a book and my morning coffee and sitting in WS. Hey-that way I'm first in line for when the French pastry shop opens!

You'll get in on time, but you'll still have the walk from the gateway to the FW entrance. I was told that a CM would walk you to FW in time for the rope drop there, but on our Nov. trip we got through the gateway exactly at the FW opening time. Those entering FW via the 'rail or the parking lot will get to the rides much quicker.
