Intimate Wedding

My fiance and I are looking at a 2008 summer wedding. I talked to her about a disney intimate wedding yesterday and she was very excited; as this made me excited. With it being an intimate wedding we will only have family there topping out at 10 people maybe. When you have a wedding this small is there a reception afterwards or just a nice dinner with everyone....what does the intimate wedding detail? thanx

Other brides can give you more info but basically the only "reception" that comes with an Intimate is cake and champagne. Any type of meal, you have to plan on your own.

Like I said, others can give you more info on planning the dinners. For my Intimate, it was only DH and I so we had tea at the GF following the reception and then dinner at CG later that evening.

There is no a "typical" reception. There is a small table set up at your wedding location and you will stand there to cut your cake, be given a toast, and you can also have a first dance if you'd like. It's very quick and really more part of the ceremony than a real reception, but I really enjoyed it! You'll get a little time to mingle with your guests and eat your cake! All of this is done right after the wedding ceremony and then it's followed by your photos.

There is no dinner or anything like that given with an intimate and even with a custom...price varies and can get really expensive depending on what you choose to do with a custom! You can plan a post-wedding dinner for you and your guests on your own, as most intimate brides do. We chose to have an post-wedding dinner at 'Ohana with all of our guests to open gifts, take photos, and we had a special cake delivered for my DH. It was just what we wanted...relaxed and a lot of fun!
