Intimate Wedding Question

I have been looking at video of people who have gotten married at the Sunset pointe and I have noticed that they all got watches and I was wondering if that is something everyone got when they got married or was it extra?

We've booked through Virgin in the UK and it says we get his and hers watches as part of our package - no idea what they're like though...

The watches are supposed to be a suprise, but I can tell you that they are gorgeous! They are exclusive as well -you can only get them by getting married at disney.

Disney gives you the watches as their wedding gift to you if you get married on property. DCL weddings get a diff gift. The watches are really, really neat and can't be bought elsewhere. They have the castle on them.

They TOLD me about the watches on my initial call...then it's listed on the reservation confirmation...so no real surprise there!

Oh boy! I'm probably the LAST person you should ask!!

There are several places to make "tickers"...Tickerfactory.com is one, TickerCentral.com is another, and DaisyPath.com yet another.

Go to one of those and design your ticker.

Then I open another window and log in to the DIS and click "User CP" (under the board heading) and then click "Edit Signature" (on the left under Control Panel)...

then I copy/paste each of the different "links/urls" whatever thingys from the ticker page to the signature, preview it to make sure it worked, then save it to the signature...and that's the best way I can describe it!

You might get a better/clearer response if you go to the tech board and ask them!

We love ours!! Of course we haven't worn them yet since we have not had time to get them sized but they are beautiful time pieces.

Wow, this is first I've heard of the watches. Do you get them just for Intimate Weddings or is it for everyone? We're not getting married next August at the WP. Do they change gifts every year???

We were presented with ours right after our wedding. They made no mention of them before then. It was very nice. My husband and I both have tiny wrists, so our planner suggested that we take them to the jewelry/watch store on Mainstreet in the MK, where they sized them for us for free. It was nice of them, but I won't wear them anyway. I want to keep them nice. If I let my hubby wear his, it won't survive.

I was never told about the watches when I booked my intimate wedding, but when I got the reservation packet in the mail that described what was included in the wedding I had noticed it said watches, so I'm figured that is was the gift from Disney. I believe each year Disney gives wedding couples a gift... in past years some where given Disney wedding crystal plates or flutes... for 2005 it is the disney wedding his/her watches.

On DCL I received a red tote bag and two white cotton waffle bath robes. They are embroidered with the Fairy Tale Weddings and DCL logos.

I wear mine a few days of week. DH wears his for special occasions.

When we get ours sized we do plan on wearing them on special occassions when we dress up.

We got ours in 2003 when we married at DLR. It was a complete suprise to us. Our EM handed the box to us just before our recpetion was over. She said that they usually were only given to WDW couples but they were starting to do it at DLR too. It was a very nice gift that we wear on special occassions.
