How many car accidents have you been in?

One. On the Mass Pike in a freak snowstorm. Spun and hit the barrier, then some ding-dong in an AMC Pacer came flying up in the passing lane when I turned around (all other traffic had stopped) and slid into me from behind.

"Hello Dad? Yeah, umm... your Jeep is going to need a new bumper. For the front.... and the back..."

Storm in the early 80's The snow was so deep, I could not shovel the driveway b/c of the accumulation already there. Housebound for 3 days with wife, and three little ones'

Just recently...
We, along with a bunch of friends, pitched in to buy a golf cart for a friend that has been stricken with RA really badly. She's also the treasurer of our rescue group, has 10 dogs of her own and fosters other dogs all the time (dozens over the years). She used to be very active in agility and does a lot of dog training too. She is having a really difficult time getting around and keeping up with everything she's always loved doing. She and her husband have a working dairy farm and a huge, beautiful piece of property, and she can no longer roam around it the way she used to. They have always been incredibly generous and gracious to all of us - hosting events and camping weekends - and are just good, decent, salt-of-the-earth people that would give you the shirt off your back.

We're hoping the cart will help her get back to her active self and enjoy her home, land and dogs the way she used to. (I'm also going to print up some decals of their logo that I did for them to put on it too) Delivering it this weekend

My "medium of choice" is yarn. I've done counted cross-stitch, plastic canvas, hooked rug, macreme, stained glass....but I always come back to crocheting. Maybe because I'm crotchety!!
