International CC Holders - Answers from Vons/Albertsons for Hotel Delivery...

Hi all - I emailled both Vons/Safeway and Albertsons for their "offical" response re International Credit Card billing addresses. Whilst the answer from Albertsons was no, with no future intentions, Vons/Safeway showed some potential...

The Vons/Safeway reponse:

You inquired whether we accept credit cards with international billing addresses. Please note that the postal codes for credit cards outside of the US are not recognized by our web site. This is an issue we are currently working on. In the meantime, you may use another form of payment, for example, a credit card that has a US postal zip code associated with it. The only forms of payment that we can accept are credit or debit cards with the Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express logos on the face of the card. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to you.


And just for reference, here is Albertson's response:

We appreciate the time you took to contact us. Unfortunately, you are correct, we do not accept credit card payments with international billing addresses. We apologize for any inconvenience. Again, thank you for contacting Albertsons.com Customer Care. If we can provide any information or be of service to you in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail or by calling 1-877-932-7948.

Damn, I hadn't even thought of that...

I was planning on ordering beforehand so the stuff's at the hotel waiting for us, but I suppose it doesn't matter too much, we'll just have to spend the afternoon when we get there getting our supplies...

I think of it as an adventure, seeing new to us products. And working out types, sizes, etc. Can still preplan before we get there though by browsing their sites, and thinking "wow, what brand should I choose..."
