We are currently staying at Disney Contemporary Resort. When we came back to the room today we had a letter from Walt Disney World in the Room. This is the part I thought was interesting.

As a reminder, during your stay you have access to Extra Magic Hour -- an exclusive benefit just for guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels with paid Theme Park admission. You get an extra hour in a Walt Disney World Theme Park to hit some rides and meet some characters.

On Saturday, June 5, we are expecting a very busy day at the Magic Kingdom Park. On this day, Disney - MGM Sudios Theme Park will offer Extra Magic Hour opening at 8:00am etc.

Maybe they are doing the EMH at MGM to try and get resort guests to go to MGM instead of MK tomorrow. That's at least what I would think. If they get resort guests to go to MGM there will be more room at MK for guests just coming for the day to MK. Just a thought.

I think they are trying to keep as many people away from MK as they can because tomorrow is Gay Days at MK.

They do this every year on Gay Day at MK. The attendance at MK is so much higher on this day than on any other given Saturday, that they do try to farm out some of the early attendance to another park. Keeps MK from closing at capacity for a few hours longer ...

Gay Days. Plan your days around their calender (gaydays.com) and you should avoid the larger crowds it brings.

I thought the same thing -- SAT is the regular MGM EMH anyway -- but since I haven't been to the parks that particular week in June before, I'd have to go with previous poster's comments that the note was b/c of large crowds due to Gay Days...:Pinkbounc

Yes the note left in your room was because of gay days, I was left the same letter last year at the WL and even though I always knew the first weekend of June is Gay days I just simply forgot! I heard from a CM that this year it is almost a week long event now, but that Sat. at MK is extremely busy. This year I went a little earlier and went in May, being a passholder I have become spoiled when the parks are almost empty! :cat: :flower2:
