Just completed online check in for our trip later this month. I've done it before, but I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that this is the first time I have actually read the Terms & Conditions. :rotfl2:

Found the parts I bolded quite interesting.

For the record, I am happy to comply with the listed terms and conditions, just surprised to find the disclosure on the smoking fee and the portion that threatens eviction if you feed the animals. :)

Can't help but wonder if the "legal domicile language" is there just for DVC members, LOL. ;) :teeth:

Does anyone remember if these same terms are on the check in paperwork if you check ins at at the resort front desk?

The following Terms & Conditions apply to the Online Check-In Service and your stay as a Guest at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Please review and indicate your acceptance to these Terms and Conditions by clicking "I accept" below.

I understand the Online Check-In Service is a convenience to Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the check-in process shall become complete in Florida upon showing my photo identification, and receipt of a Key to the World card.

I am 18 years of age or older and confirm that the information I provide in connection with this Online Check-In Service is accurate. I understand that if I begin check in via this Online Check-In Service, and later make a modification to my reservation (including changing my arrival/departure dates, Resort hotel, room category or party mix); I must return to the Online Check-In Service to update my reservation information. If I choose not to update my check-in information through this Online Check-In Service, I must proceed with standard resort check-in upon arrival.

If I pay by credit card, I understand that acceptance is subject to approval by the issuing organization; that information necessary to charge my credit card account will appear on my itemized folio(s) and be transmitted electronically without further approval from me and that my personal liability for this account is not waived if another person, company or association is billed but fails to pay.

If paying by credit card, by clicking "I accept", I expressly authorize the owners of the Walt Disney World Resort or their affiliates to charge my account the full lodging amount of my reservation at check-in, and additionally charge my account for future incidental Resort hotel charges, rental fees, extensions of my stay or other miscellaneous charges that I am permitted to charge to my account. I understand that the available credit account limit varies by Resort hotel, ranging from $500 to $1500, and that I can find out my specific limit by contacting the Front Desk of my Resort hotel.

By clicking to accept these Terms and Conditions, I also agree to participate in the priority/express check-out service, and, if I am paying by credit card, I understand that my account will be charged for all amounts appearing on my folio without any further action on my part based on the authorization I have granted by accepting these Terms and Conditions.

Neither I nor any member of my party occupying any resort accommodation have/has any intention of making, and will never make, this resort accommodation a legal domicile or principal dwelling. My/our legal domicile is and shall forever be outside the Walt Disney World Resort.

I understand that all Disney Resorts are smoke free environments except for designated outdoor smoking locations. A $250 - $500 room recovery fee, plus tax, will be charged for smoking in Guest rooms, on balconies, or on patios.

At Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, I will not feed animals, drop items into or attempt to enter any animal habitat. Violators may be subject to eviction.

I agree that any claim, action or lawsuit (collectively, "Action") arising out of these Terms and Conditions, reservations and bookings, and/or all packages, products and services provided in connection with the reservations and bookings (including without limitation, components such as tickets, park admissions, packages, and room accommodations) (all collectively, "Terms, Reservations and Products") must be filed and maintained exclusively in any court in Orange County, Florida having subject matter jurisdiction. I also hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such Action. I agree these Terms, Reservations and Products shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

re: Feeding animals from AKL/AKV

I recall similar language and verbal reminder at the normal check-in desk at AKL in 2005.

AKL also does not permit balloons on the grounds. If you buy a balloon at a Park and bring it to AKL, the staff will store the balloon in a "balloon corral" and return it to you when you leave the resort. Also, the eating and drinking establishments at AKL use paper drinking straws rather than plastic straws.

Funny.
They left out the bit about if you should throw cig butts off the balcony at AKL/AKV you'd be summarily executed!

:rotfl2:

not withstanding the attempted humor...yeah, despositing anything into an animal area or "feeding" has been evictable for quite sometime.

Just returned from AKV last week and had to initial both the non-smoking fee and the don't feed the animals agreement.

Can't help but wonder if the "legal domicile language" is there just for DVC members
I don't think so. I think this has more to do with Disney's privately-owned quasi-government. All of Disney-owned property is governed by an entity called the Reedy Creek Improvement District. The only "residents" of the District (and hence, the only legal "voters" for a variety of purposes) are high-level Disney employees.

This is why all of Celebration was de-annexed from RCID before it was developed for private ownership, why the Four Seasons private residences/destination club land was also de-annexed, and a big reason why DVC is structured as a "deeded leasehold" rather than a straight property deed.

My/our legal domicile is and shall forever be outside the Walt Disney World Resort.
.

ouch, did they need to put it so bluntly?
guess my one (BIG) dream is not just destoyed, but annihilated :sad1:

jk

From what I recall, that "domicile" language is even on the check-in paperwork from the regular resorts.

Neither I nor any member of my party occupying any resort accommodation have/has any intention of making, and will never make, this resort accommodation a legal domicile or principal dwelling. My/our legal domicile is and shall forever be outside the Walt Disney World Resort.

Is that the "Welcome Home" disclaimer? :confused3
