We got a wand in Hollywood and for the life of me I can't remember how we got it home! Heading to Orlando in a few days and I'd like to keep the wand in our checked luggage. They're so expensive I worry about sticky fingers in a checked bag. Anyone know if a wand goes through TSA security checks?

Not sure what you're asking. Everything goes through security.

When our carry-on bag goes through the security check, will it be allowed through? It is long and pointy....

I was unclear before ☺️

Lots of people take them in their carryon luggage. It isn't a banned article.

Just put it in carryon.

Knitting needles can go onto the plane. A wand can, too.

Funny you point out knitting needles. I brought my silk crochet needles which are thin and metal with me and every single time I've been pulled for extra searching. Finally one TSA agent claimed that "knitting and crochet needles have to be plastic and not pointy" i politely said if that is the case perhaps the TSA shouldn't say metal ones are allowed right on the website. They gave mine back and sent me along but now I just don't fly with the silk work ones only bigger projects.
