Here's my wedding picture! LOL

I got married in a church. I wanted to get married outdoors in a garden in the Spring, but then I saw the way my DH's church decorated for Easter, and I knew it was the place. BTW - I love the greenhouse weddings - those look soo beautiful!

We got married at a hotel. The ceremony was in a tent and the reception was in an adjoining hall.

We were married in a little wedding chapel in Gatlinburg, TN

I will be getting married (January 7, 2007) at the end of a peir, on the deck, over the Charlotte Harbor in Florida at sunset. The reception will be in the restaurant on the pier!

I love hearing where everyone got married!!

We got married at the Wedding Pavilion at WDW and our reception was at Spaceship Earth (we all even got to ride it at the conclusion of our reception!). There was a bit of stress about the reception location since until about five days or so before the big day we were slated to be at the Living Seas, but construction there moved us to Spaceship Earth. Looking back I wouldn't change a thing. :goodvibes

gradtchr: Love the bottom pic with the champagne glasses and you two in the back. Very clever!

jbdreamer: That place is so pretty! Gorgeous spot for a wedding.

hmgolden: Nice pic! Love the dress and the long train in the back. Very pretty.

Honeibee: I went to the WL for the first time on our last WDW visit. It's very impressive. I could definately see a wedding there! And BTW, you two make a good looking couple. So for your one year anniversary will it be a return trip to the Lodge? ;)

Tink&SquirtsMom: LOL I thought that place looked familiar! I've seen it in DCA. Very nice. :goodvibes

phorsenuf: Too funny!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

diznygirl: What a beautiful photo.

princess pooh: Both pics look amazing. Very elegant.

Kimberly815: Congrats and good luck to you!! :thumbsup2

I could look at other peoples wedding photos all day! :sunny:

Since I started the other thread I thought I should answer this one. We got married in Reykjavik, Iceland, in a really small cathedral down town. It was a candlelight ceremony after dark, in the middle of winter. Really romantic. We had a saxophone player play our favorite love songs, a choir sing "Amigos para siempre" and 160 guests attend. Our daughter was christened at the same time. It was a perfect day!!!

In a courthouse with his mother, 2 sisters, and his best friend who was his best man, present. If I had to do it all over again, I'd do in that same courthouse in SC because I married the love of my life! One day we'll have that vow renewal and I'll have the wedding every girl dreams of! :p

DH and I eloped while I was on an internship in San Antonio, 1000 miles from home--it was just the two of us (and the justice of the peace) on Marriage Island on the San Antonio Riverwalk. We then spent the evening walking around the Riverwalk, eating dinner, and riding the riverboat. What a wonderful day!

We bought a very large, beautiful signed poster of a painting of the Riverwalk as a souvinier, and it's framed and hanging in our dining room.

Ohhh! Thank you so much!! I honestly think I am the luckiest girl in the world! :cloud9:

This is how our WL wedding happened.....

MY Dh has four children and a huge family. We were planning a big old wedding at a yacht club near our home (of which we were not memebers but friends of our were). Well, it was getting to be VERY expensive and the problems were making us both nuts - the kids really didn't care about it, his sons just wanted to wear top hats and carry canes and the girls wanted to have all their friends come over like it was a big sleep over, and for the nine months we were engaged his parents never even acknowledged we were getting married. It was becoming nothing but a huge expense and hassle (We had both had big weddings before and we could both have lived without doing it again but we THOUGHT is was important to the kids....)

Anyway, in Sept of 2004 we had a WDW vacation planned. It was the first time we had ever seen the WL and we were just bowled over. We both fell in love with the place. So I said on our first day there.."You know, we could get married there." So.....we did! We cancelled all our plans and just the two of us went to Florida the following June and we got married at the WL. It was fabulous!

We were and still are thrilled with our decision and we are very very glad we did it!

We won't be returning there for our anniversary this year but we will be at the YC in Sept. Then I'm not sure where for the Half in January. Maybe the next year....
