it was the Lenape Indians... all the high schools locally were named after Indians... Shawnee, Cherokee, Lenape.. so they were all Indians of sorts...

DD is a Falcon, which is mine and DH Alma Matar. By the way. I know what a Wolverine is. Michigan is the Wolverine state, and DH works in Ann Arbor, home of University of Michigan and the mighty Wolverines!!

I went to Sayreville War Memorial High School, (along with Bon Jovi), and our teams were called "The Bombers". The girls' teams were called "Lady Bombers" I don't know if they still use this specific logo or not, but I remember seeing a little man sitting on top of a torpedo-type bomb!! LOL I'm hoping they've updated the logo by now, but I know they still call themselves "the Bombers"! It was really bad when the football team lost a game, the headlines would read something like "The Bombers bomb again" or "The Bombers get bombed" LOL

That's just slightly less lame than DH's high school mascot. He went to Abington, MA high school, home of the "Green Wave". ROFL. What the heck is that? The logo looks sort of like a green flame with a face and legs. hahahahahah

The town we live in now has "Wildcats" as a mascot/logo, and DS14's vo-tech high school has "Hawks".

i went to 3 high schools...

the first was Abraham Lincoln High School in Des Moines, IA...both DH and i went there...our "mascot" was a "Railsplitter" or the Rails for short...i have no idea...but to my knowledge, we never had anyone actually dressing up as a mascot...

my second was Buena High School in Sierra Vista, Arizona...we were the Colts...

and my third high school was Northrop High School in Ft Wayne, Indiana..and we were the Bruins...

Whereas she was a cheerleader and on the track team(so actually has a varisity jacket), my only contribution was to scholar's bowl (quiz bowl, college bowl, etc.)

On rainy days my old thumb injuries still ache.
