Inspired by the PE Thread: What Did You Hate About HS

I hated that I didn't fit in with any of the cliques. I wasn't rich, a cheerleader, a jock, a goat roper, a geek, a brain or a stoner. I was a lower middle class kid who was chubby, less than average looking and too depressed to participate in any activities. It was a very lonely existence.

I really despised the way everyone treated each other. High school girls are so cruel to each other and simple things like an ill timed gas attack (doesn't EVERYONE fart once in a while and how long can YOU hold it in?) could earn you a nickname that stuck for years and the humiliation that went along with it. (No that wasn't me but someone I knew). Teenage boys aren't much better either. My brother was a year ahead of me in high school. Once when he was really mad at me for who knows what he started a rumor that I was "easy" and had contracted syphyliis. Within days the entire school had heard it and I was leaving school daily in tears. I quit school shortly thereafter and never looked back. I wouldn't wish high school on my worst enemy if it wasn't required.

Everything. I hated high school and I am so glad those days are over for good. :D

There were a certain group of girls from our school that thought they were so tough. I couldn't even stand passing them in the hallways. Now looking back, it seems so stupid.

The competitiveness of everyone to get straight As. People would complain if they got a 98% on a test.

I did that in high school and college!LOL! It drove me nuts that they took a point off for a comma missing, or a typo! And dont even get me started on "not showing my work" in math. I came to the correct answer..your the teacher..can't you figure out how I go there!

Oh, and why is it in Catholic High School...EVERYONE cheats on religion tests! I started charging people to copy, I figure if they were going to do it anyway...why not get paid for it!

PE was first period and they did not allow time for showers.

The fact that I went from being a "normal" well-liked and involved kid to.........something else that I didn't understand. Which ended up costing me basically all my school friends, as well as enjoyment of most extracurriculars.
:( Hope things are better for you now.
