I can be on the high maintenance side. Will totally own up to it.
Part of it is totally a choice of career function. If a Department Store Visual person shows up looking like a mess, it says a lot about her work. Especially when you're the buildings go to style person.
I get my eyebrows waxed religiously. Even when I was a broke co-ed, the one thing I never gave up was my eyebrow waxing. In a way it saves a ton of time, they take way too long to pluck on my own. During the summer I get my legs waxed as well. I have an ankle held together by titanium. If I didn't my legs would have been through laser hair removal by now. I'm seriously debating having my underarms done.
Pedicures--bi-weekly from April to October. Once a month the rest of the year. Manicures, just about weekly, though most weeks I just get the nails buffed. I don't have the patience to repair the chips on a regular basis.
I only wear counter make-up. Clinique, Estee Lauder, and Benefit. The morning routine is serum, tinted mositurizer, a full eye (including grooming the brows), concealer, and a mineral powder foundation. I usually just do a gloss on the lips. I can do the face in about 5 minutes most mornings.
Hair--when I want it curly, I'll set it with the soft rolls and sleep on it. About once a month, I color it myself. Then it's off to SuperCuts to get it cut. I've been known to totally change the hair on a whim. I once got fed up on a Friday at work, went to a walk-in salon, held up the messy ponytail and said I want it gone.
Scary part--I have a degree in Womyn's Studies. My friends from college love the irony that I've turned into a total fashion obsessed girly-girl who subscribes to way too many fashion magazines.
