When you get called for jury duty do you worry if it is a murder trial? Do you wonder if they are found guilty if they will remember your face and come after you later? I guess I've watched too many movies. But I just wonder if anyone else has these thoughts.

I didn't before, but I got summoned for a death penalty murder case when I was pregnant with Jacob. I didn't really care about him finding me afterward, but I didn't want to decide if he should die. And I didn't want to look at pictures of the people he killed with a baseball bat while I was pregnant. Fortunately, I had horrible morning sickness, and while the judge didn't care, the lawyers didn't want me.

I was called for jury duty for the first time a couple of years ago and was selected to serve on a trial. It was a murder trial and it lasted about a week. To tell you the truth, I can remember the testimony we heard and the pictures that we were shown. But, to safe my life I can't remember any of the names.

My DH was on a rape case a few years ago, it lasted a week. He said it was really difficult emotionally. The guy was very obviously guilty, so he didn't feel bad convicting him. I don't think he ever worried for his safety.

When I was in 10th grade, my English teacher was on a real big murder case. He was out for like 6 weeks. He filled us in on alot of the details when he got back and it was pretty freaky.

I've been on a murder trial, a couple of robbery trials, and evading police in a car chase. I never worried about those things.
