These are all so great! I'm really curious to try to butter=grilled pound cake! Was that at Liberty Tree? If I went at lunchtime, could I just get the dessert and a soda??

I don't have a recipe for the LTT poundcake (nor have I had it), but we do one at home. Basically, take a Sara Lee poundcake. Slice it. Put it in a french toast batter (eggs and cream), griddle fry it. Top it with powdered sugar (and in the version I like, Marscarpone cheese that has been sweetened with a little sugar and lemon curd). Drizzle with melted butter (add some orange zest if you want) You can get all of this from the grocery store and have something on the table that is incredible in about seven minutes of kitchen time.

Oh wow! Thanks for the info!!

i took a look at the recipe, and i really would like to try it! what exactly is 'homestyle white' bread, though? i'm afraid i'm horrible with cooking in general, and i'd probably end up using the wrong thing

I wasn't really sure myself. ;) I figured it just means not like a loaf of Wonder bread. If you look at the picture you can see its sort of thicker than that. What I have used is just a plain loaf of white bread that I have gotten at a local bread bakery. I cut it into 12 equal(somewhat equal ;)) slices. I don't know if that is the exact right thing, but it sems to work ok.

Ok, please explain what exactly is in that Banana Butterscotch Buzz. It looks amazing!

Here is the description from the menu:
Bananas and Butterscotch "Buzz" - caramelized bananas and butterscotch custard stack with coffee caramel, cocoa nib, and crunchy plantain

The combination of flavors was delish!

How was the Apple Caramel pie, Fruit Cobbler, and Raspberry Sorbet?

The Apple Caramel Pie was good but not great. I though it had too much crumb topping and crust and not enough apple filliing. I actually liked the ice cream better than the pie itself!

The Fruit Cobbler and Raspberry Sorbet were both from Le Cellier. The fruit cobbler was my hubby's dessert. I did taste it, and it was very good, but I absolutely adored my Raspberry Sorbet! It was the perfect follow-up to the Mushroom Filet. Light and refreshing, but very flavorful!
