Inspired by ShamWOW - Infomercial purchases you have made?

i was wondering if anyone has tried the sheer cover or raw minerals?

I am using Bare Minerals right now but sometimes it itches but most of the time it doesn't but some days :headache:

thanks

Steam Bullet- Just ok, but comes in handy for sanitizing and dewrinkling. (And please, no matter how tempting it is, do not aim it at your husbands butt even from what you deem to be a safe distance. He will have a scar. :rotfl: Don't ask me how I know that...)
.

OMG! LOLOLOLOL!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I cant stop laughing. :lmao:

Have you tried www.everydayminerals.com ?

Someone posted about this years ago, on the DIS, and I have been using it faithfully, since. I cant tell you how many times Ive ordered. I *pray* they never stop making it. Its WONDERFUL! (and MUCH cheaper and works MUCH better, IMO)

AND AND AND you can get a free sample (you pay $3 or so for shipping) and you get a generous sample to try out. Go to Custom Kits to get the sample kit. :thumbsup2

I fight the urge to get that stupid Snuggie blanket every time it comes on.
My husband has even noticed the 'look in my eye' and says "NO!" when the commercial airs. :lmao:

My husband cannot understand the Snuggie. He says - "It's just a backwards robe!!" :rotfl:

I ordered the slap-chop. :faint:

Tonight the fam was watching (I don't know what) and I heard the ad for a Time Life World War movie thing. DH starting going, "Tick...tick...tick..." and I looked over at him like, "What the hell are you doing?" and he said, "I'm counting down until you pick up the phone and order it." :) (I didn't - but it looked interesting!)

OMG! I just saw the Slap Chop commercial yesterday and I was DYING when he started the nuts. Did anyone else hear what he said???????????? OMG! I'm cracking up again just thinking about it!!

What is this slap chop you speak of??

I have to go look this up.

Oh PLEASE try to find the commercial on YouTube or something. You just have to see it and then you will WANT to buy it just because of the funny.......

The Green Bags dont work? Blasted! Ive thought about getting those.

I like my Green Bags! But you can get them much cheaper at Target and Walmart and places like that.

So far only the Shamwow has won its way into my house. Although, I would like one of those clothes steamers... But I think I'll get a non-tv commercial one. I hate ironing and the steamer at the store I used to work at was wonderful.

I have the Tobi steamer, and it's the best invention in the history of time. It takes, literally, 20 seconds to heat up and the wrinkles really do fall out. DH bought it for me last Christmas, and he still hears 'Honey!!! I love my steamer!!!" at least 3 times a week. I don't know what I would do without it. Seriously, an awesome product. 2 thumbs up. Deal, not dud! :lmao:

My DS gave us Mighty Putty for Christmas. Apparently he thought we needed it. I haven't had a reason to try it out yet.

DH has the magic putty, and loves it. It really does seem to work well.

OMG!!! I nearly peed a little. I think Vince is hilarious anyway, but that was really funny. "You know those Germans make good stuff" on the Shamwow commercial gets me too.

Well JUSt last night, my MIL gave me the "Smooth Away" hair removal pads. Apparently she thinks I'm hairy...but I digress.

Essentially it's a disk of very fine sandpaper that literally grinds off the hair, and the top couple of layers of skin I imagine. Honestly, I tried it on the back of my wrist and it did seem to make the hair go away, but I am terrified to try it on any large area like my leg or bikini zone. I'm especially worried about the regrowth of hair too...not to mention what it does to the skin.

I'll report back in a few days when my wrist hairs make a reappearance.

We've also done (courtesy of MIl...she LOVES products):
pedipaws- worked for us
PedEgg- worked ok. I just hate the "grated cheese" skin dust that gets eveerywhere.
Kinoki Foot Pads: A total scam
Forman Grill- works but it's a PITA.
Slap Chop- you mean crap chop
Bare minerals- makes my face itch and burn the coverage is lousy

Its people like me that keep TV Salesman in Business. Might as well start a thread...what DIDNT you buy!!

I recently purchased the Pedi Paws & Kathy's Snack maker thing (dont know the name of it)...but it works really good!:thumbsup2

:lmao: I say the same thing! That one is the ONLY one that dont even make sense to me!:confused3

Great thread! :thumbsup2

The only things I can remember buying from TV are:

George Foreman grill - Still use it in the winter months

Ab roller - I bought this back in my collage days and still use it.

What is this Shamwow everyone is talking about?

Also, I want to buy that small exercise ball they are showing that comes with 2 DVD's. Anyone have it?

DD wants Benderoos. The commercial came on yesterday and she said, "Oh, I want those, but you have to be 18 to order. Mom, are you 18? Cause you have to be 18." :lmao:

Okay, for that question alone I would order her two! :lmao: :rotfl:

Ooo - you know what I REALLY want, cuz I know my oldest son would use it - is that little.... what the heck is it called? It's with that lady with the red hair who does everything, and it makes omelettes, cakes, chicken....it has 2 half moon sides and you can make anything in minutes!!! :lmao:

The only reason I havent gotten it is, it comes with 2. WHy in the heck would I need 2?? :confused3

My mom got one of those for Christmas. She begged for it. No review yet.

Haven't read the whole thread yet, I too am interested in the hangers that kind of fold down to take up less space. Will have to see if anyone has posted a review.

We have pedipaws but our dog is terrigied of it. Lame!

I have the whole Ronco knife set which I ADORE and I have the Ronco rotisserie, Set it and forget it! I love it too and use it at least once a week!

Oh I also have the Pedegg which I use between pedicures and I love it!

Anyone have the thing you stick under your doors to block the air on both sides? DF really wants those....

Of course he also "had" to have the ab lounger and that's been collecting dust since about day 3.....

My mom ordered one and it didn't work for any of her doors. She threw it away!

OH I also have Everyday Minerals and I love them!!!

Besides the Mighty Putty which I posted about earlier, we also have bought:

Hercules Hooks - I give them a :thumbsup2 We used them to hang some heavy wall art and they worked well.

Pedipaws - I give it a :thumbsup2 as well. We have 4 dogs and we are slowly getting them used to it. It's not too loud so it doesn't completely scare them. Reilly doesn't mind it at all unless it catches a bit and makes a loud noise

Doggy Steps - :thumbsup2 We added so much memory foam to our mattress to help Lauri sleep that a couple of our dogs were having trouble clearing it when jumping. The steps are ugly as heck but they served the purpose until we found a bench to put at the foot of the bed that acts as a middle step to jump on.

Smart Spin http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/smart_spin.html?gid=KITCHEN - :thumbsup2 Lauri found them at Ross for $4. A great buy. The containers aren't the best quality, but they do the job and it's nice not to have a bunch of plastic containers fall out of the cabinet every time you reach for one.

The pasta pots with the draining lids -
thumb-down.gif
Poor quality and the pots never drain thoroughly, leaving a lot of water still in the pasta

Space Bags - :thumbsup2 No problems here with the zippers. We bought ours from Ollies for less than half the price

Original Chocolate Factory - http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/original_chocolate_factory.html?gid=KITCHEN :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I bought this for DW Lauri when she saw it on tv 3 yrs ago. Since then, every Christmas we have had piles of Oreos, Nutter Butters, Pretzels, Potato Chips, buckeyes, etc. dipped in Ghiradelli chocolate that we give to people as presents and that I eat as fast as she dips. :teeth: Sure, its just a small double boiler but Lauri says it's the perfect size for dipping and the tools it comes with are perfect for holding onto the items while dipping. This has been our favorite As Seen On TV purchase.

Urine Gone http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/urine_gone.html?gid=TOOL_OUTDOOR_PET -

Bought this when the youngest dogs were just puppies. You can get as good or better results with a simple mixture of water and white vinegar.
