Inspired by ShamWOW - Infomercial purchases you have made?

I've bought a few of those things but at Bed Bath and Beyond with my 20% off coupon.

Green bags -no good

space bags -I like them, have quite a few now. Great for traveling. I pack all my undies in one, bathing suits in another etc. Then when I get to my vacation place, dump each bag in a drawer! Also great for dirty laundry, wet bathing suits etc. The only problem I sometimes have is they are pretty hard when you get all the air out -have to pack around them or leave a little air in it so you can bend it.

pedi paws -recent purchase -did not even try on my cat but gave it to my brother for his 2 dogs. One sits still for it (up until a point) the one that really needs it hates it.

chopper thing -OK but need strength for onions etc

Videlia slicer -bought for my dad along with safety goggles and safety gloves -always cut himself slicing onions. He seems to like it (wears the goggles and gloves too even though they were a joke!)

George Foreman -love his grill!!!

Thinking about shamwow and the paint thing that doesn't drip (do I believe that???)

My husband takes care of the houseplants (since I am a plant killer) and he asked for Aquabulbs for xmas this year. I got him 4 and so far they seem to work as anticipated :thumbsup2

P.S. On the Pedipaws...just go buy a regular dremel. They are made better, last longer, and will grind down the nails better. We started using the dremel on our dogs recently and it is SO much better then nail clippers!

I bought the Turbo Cooker years ago when they were selling it much cheaper at Target. It is the BEST!

I have been looking at the hangers......

I fight the urge to get that stupid Snuggie blanket every time it comes on.
 I have two Snuggies on order. :rotfl2: My kids wanted them so bad, and I gave in. :rolleyes1

I'll report back on them after we receive them, which won't be for another 2-3 weeks.

The Green Bags dont work? Blasted! Ive thought about getting those.
I have the green bags, too. :rolleyes1 They work for some things (tomatos), not for others (bananas).

I also had the Swivel Sweeper. Loved how maneuverable it was, it picked stuff up OK, but not that great, and was messy to empty.

Does anyone have this:

My husband has even noticed the 'look in my eye' and says "NO!" when the commercial airs. :lmao:

It's a great idea in principle and all, but I don't know that I could ever bring myself to order something called a "snuggie." But that's me. ;)

I ordered what I think are called Quik-Brites or something like that (they're in the closet in the other room and I'm entirely too lazy at the moment to get up and fetch them), but I love them. They're LED lights that are turned on when the connection between the light and a magnet is broken. So for dark closets or cabinets or whatever, you put the light on the inside edge of the door and the magnet on the doorjamb. When you open the door, the connection's broken and the light comes on, and when you close it, the opposite happens. At my old apt., I had ridiculously deep, dark cabinets, so those things were a Godsend.

Oh yeah! And I ordered Crunchless Abs the other day, but it hasn't shown up yet. It was only $9.99, so it wasn't too big a risk.

Our five-year-old is obsessed with infomercials and she knows most of them by heart. She's dying for us to all get Snuggies. She also likes that Billy Mays thing where you can make mini hamburgers.

I admit the ShamWow looks cool!

Well about 30 years ago there was this commercial for cubic zerconas (sp??) that I fell for...she didn't:lmao: :rotfl2:

DH works for Bed, Bath & Beyond, so I get most of my "As Seen on TV" stuff there- I've bought:

-the stackable plastic tupperware-type containers that come with the rotating storage holder. Works fine.

-Vidalia Chop Wizard- love it!
-George Foreman Grill- used it until all the nonstick stuff flaked off.

-OxyClean- OK, but nothing to write home about.

I did actually get on the website and order the NAD'S hair remover stuff- it was terrible!! And painful!! And didn't really work!! The worst thing was that I accidentally pressed the "order" button 3 times while trying to input my cc info, and they sent me 3 boxes of the stuff. I still have some in the back of the cabinet under the bathroom sink.

DD wants us to get the Magic Bullet- she loves that funny infomercial with the folks all sitting around the perky couple's kitchen table while they make them all kinds of food and drinks.

DH got the pedegg-thingamajig, and LOVES it.

SPACE BAGS!!! We love ours! The zippers break, but we have been able to get them back together so far :P
I kept trying to get back on but the zipper kept popping off still. Wouldn't you know it, it would be the big bag with the comforter I'm in that I was fighting with! :lmao:

Oh, I got that nads stuff too!!! After I used it I was in pain and still hairy!:rotfl:

I made the BIG mistake of using it on my hairy upper lip (I have Italian blood and am a rather hairy gal), and man! did it HURT when I ripped that fabric strip off!! And NO hair came out, dang it!! That was the end of my NAD'S experiment...

So far only the Shamwow has won its way into my house. Although, I would like one of those clothes steamers... But I think I'll get a non-tv commercial one. I hate ironing and the steamer at the store I used to work at was wonderful.

Not gonna lie, The Magic Bullet is AMAZING!!!

I've only made smoothies and some beverages of an adult nature, but oh man were they all good and lump-free! I tried to use it to chop some bell peppers, it's certainly not the best for that!

I think the only thing the Snuggie commercials are missing is a giant gold cross on any of the men wearing them in red...

My favorite infomercial used to be the one with two sumo wrestlers on the aeromattress, but that has now been replaced by the thing that holds your hair dryer for you. I can't help but bust out laughing when the old lady's "arthritis" is just too painful. It's just too overacted!

DS and I have wanted one of those for at least 2 years... I am mesmerized by the infomercial every time it comes on. I was *this* close to ordering one, but then went looking for reviews. The vast majority of the ones I found were horrible. :( Said the wells are way smaller than they make them look, that the coating was flaking off after a few days, etc.

I still really want one, though. :(

i'm not gonna lie...i want a shamwow so bad i can't stand it.

Cathrynrose PLEASE do a google search on the GT Xpress 101.

Read the reviews they are HORRIBLE!!
