This thread is making me crack up.
Girls, you may not realize this...but us guys CAN pee sitting down.
(No, I'm not going into details)
Anyway, at home I lift the seat, because well...it's your house, how nasty can it be? At other places I'm comfortable with I lift the seat too...
But when I'm out in public, who know what's been touching that thing?
If there's no urinal, I either use my foot to lift the seat up, or I manage around it.
Sorry, but I'm abit of a germaphobe. I feel bad for girls...they HAVE to sit on those nasty things.

Guys you may not know this, but girls hover over the seats when we don't want to sit down.

ANd I live with two men, I know the ins and outs of peeing while sitting.

My arugment on sitting down for men:
Say you've got to do both? I mean really, would you stand up and then sit down? That just wouldn't make sense.

Ugh, being walked in on while going to the bathroom is one of the most embarassing things ever.

I live with my mom and my aunt, and baby sister.
I've grown accustom to locking the door, even when no one else is home.

Locking the bathroom door is key.
I do it no matter what - if I'm brushing my teeth, showering, using the bathroom, or if I'm just in there. There's too much room for people walking in and annoying me. And trust me, I don't feel like yelling at you with toothpaste in my mouth.
Of course, my bathroom door upstairs can be opened with a nice hard push.

This is SOOOOOOOOOO off topic!!! Aw well... My bathroom is really B I G and i ALWAYS FEEL like someone could just walk in... it makes me feel really weird...l ike someone can walk right in but I am so far from the door I can't do anything aobut it...

Oh thats a huge problem with me. 9 times out of 10 I don't look before I sit down, and I've fallen in before (EEEWWW!)

I did that when our power went out for 2 days.
I sat on the toilet without the seat up..
