I really love the monorail and ferry shpiels. Gets me all fired up and excited to finally be THERE.:teeth:

What's your favorite park sound?

All the background music, the 'area music', that you really do not 'hear' but would create emptiness if it was missing. There is almost no place at Disney that there is not background music/sounds.

Oh, there are just too many to chose from!! I gotta admit though, hearing "Please stand clear of the doors........................" makes my heart skip a beat!! :teeth: (currently this is the sound my computer makes when I log in!! :hyper: )

Not counting the music they play that I also have on cd's, I like the entrance music for Epcot, the pre-Illuminations music, the entry music for Space Mountain, most of the music from attractions (especially extinct attractions), music from the streets of all the parks, the monorail spiel . . . . heck I like most all of it :).

I'm not too fond of the Frontierland music or Country Bears soundtrack. Probably a few others that make me immediately switch stations, too.

I have to add Illuminations and Tapestry, Nations preferred. What magical music those are.

I also love the Splash Mountain shpiel when something goes wrong. "Looks like Brer Bear and Brer Fox are causin' some mischief upstream" It's those little details that make temporary breakdowns ALMOST pleasant.:D

Epcot background music. And the sound of the Monorail whooshing by.

Space mountain would be my wifes favourite park sound I really don't have a single fav I like quite a few of them. I love RNR and ToT. Also like Space and Splash and BTMRR. The one thing I really love is the Monorail and the train around MK. To many to list actually.

"Please Stand Clear of the Doors...", of course ;) I also really love the "Beauty and the Bees" song inside the Tree of Life while you're waiting for Tough to Be A Bug. Oh, and how about "Up and at 'em!" or whatever it is that Mickey says when he wakes you up.

I'd also have to say the monorail spiel. And the warning spiel on Thunder Mountain. :D :D Those are just 2 of my favorites.

I can honestly say I do not think there is one attraction that I don't like the sounds or songs or anything from they are all pretty great I also really love It's A Small World After All That is one of the first rides we go on when we go to MK.

Definitely the monorail spiel. I have that sucker memorized - scared my poor DH.

I love:

*the sound of the monorail as it enter/leaves the inside of the contemporary.

*the sound of the MK train whistle

*the sound of your name being called out when being seated at the CRT.

*the sound of trickling water upon entering the Great Ceremonial House at the Poly.

*the sound/music of the electrical water parade - sends me immediatly back to my childhood when my mom and I would watch this from the Poly beach.

I could go on and on - as I am sure everyone could - and I have to agree w/ Dan Murphy about loving the sounds that we take for granted at WDW that if they were missing, the World would seem pretty empty.

You hit the nail on the head for me. The traditional Chinese music when I take a cig break at the Chinese pavillion on a quite day. Or the steel drums in Adventureland. Or... well you get the point.

I use tlove the sound of the friendship boats outside the Yacht and beach but they changed the horns!!! :(

Screams coming from the really good rides. Except for the ones coming from Test Track, because I can't figure out why anyone would scream on that ride...

When the cruise ship horn plays "When You Wish Upon a Star"(ok, not really a park sound, but it still counts doesn't it?

Definitely "please stand clear of the doors"--I just love the monorail.

A distant second would be the El Rio Del Tiempo ride music.
