I can't even IMAGINE eating headcheese, tripe or liver.

Sausage, any red meat, all the "organ meats" and blue cheese!

Any type of cheese.....I hate cheese with a passion (yes, I'm odd :teeth: )

Pigs feet! I can't believe people in my family actually ate that stuff!

Everytime we have a thread like this, I open it and get totally grossed out, yet I continue to open them, every single time!!!!

Those little baby octopus that people eat look pretty disgusting. Slimey stuff grosses me out. No raw oysters, clams, soft boiled or over easy eggs or sardines for me!  Blood pudding! Rocky Mountain oysters. Those exotic meat festivals that they have gross me out - you know, the ones with bear, lion etc. ACK!

Okay, I sat down at the computer with my breakfast. My dog enjoyed it very much. I grossed myself out. :( :p

Liver grosses me out. I can't even imagine headcheese. Just thinking about is making me sick...

How about some Chittlin's?? They are about THE Grossest thing ever--they are the intenstines of a cow I believe, and we sell a LOT here in good old MIAMI!! Also Chicken Feet are a big seller and lets not forget FISH HEADS!! ACCCKKK! No lunch for me today! And you wonder WHY I want to leave this city......

Seafood! Any kind of seafood! YUCK!

My DH had a Laotian roommate that would go to the meat counter in the local grocery store and buy the cheapest meat he could find. He ate tripe, hog mau (sp?) anyhow he ate intestine, liver, stomach etc.

Needless to say when he started cooking we made ourselves scarce!

Cuban black bean soup....eeeewwwwww
I grew up with it, hatede it then...hate it now.

Also squid...yuck!!

Blood pudding????? Yucky! I never even HEARD of that one!

HOG HEAD CHEESE

1 lg. hog head

1 1/2 tbsp. salt

Dash of red pepper

Dash of black pepper

1 onion

1 c. vinegar

Clean hog head by removing eyes, ears and brains.

Saw into 4 pieces.

Put in large pot and boil until tender.

Remove meat from broth.

Pick out bones and cook onion until done in broth.

Dip out onion and run meat and onion through food chopper.

Mix in peppers, vinegar and salt, put in cheese cloth or (leg of panty hose works real well), hang, let drip overnight.

Slice and enjoy.

Refrigerate unused portion.

Won't eat anything like brains, tongue, any organ meats, pigs feet or chicken feet, although I have family members who love those last two. Can't bring myself to try raw oysters.

I love calimari if it's prepared correctly and one of my all time favorites is mountain oysters. Also like chitterlings but won't prepare them in my house, did that once and the smell was just terrible.

I can't stand the sight (much less the taste) of okra (ewwww)!!

BTW, I thought that chitterlings (chitlins) were made from pigs intestines. Those are gross as well.
