Stacerita,

What is 'GGW Trip'...Girls Gone Wild???

Thats exactly what it is....GIRLS GONE WILD!!!!!

That trip will be the sweetpea, my mother and myself. Just the girls. We will be unleashed and on the prowl for some Mickey bars. So watch out.

Cool...how old is your daughter? It sounds like you guys have a lot of fun!

I plan on taking my 9 year old for her first natural facial. It is only $20 and they use really cool fruits and vegetables on your face and massage your hands and feet. When I told her about mine, she said "It sounds like lunch!"

I like "Medium". I forget to watch it a lot though.

The sweetpea is 10. We plan on having a lot of fun on that trip.

Im trying to keep the sweetpea from knowing about facials. She already loves pedicures and manicures. She doesn't need to know about facials just yet. lol

Morning all. I have to go back to work today. I am sort of dreading it. I'm just in a bad mood and do not want to put up with office manager Stephanie today. :guilty: I'm going to try to be nice. At least for the first hour I'm there.

At a Memorial Day cookout, I went to sit down in a lawn chair while holding a glass of Diet Pepsi.

Chair was on a bump and as I sat, it began to tip. Tried to stop it, but couldn't. I fell to the side in the chair and then out of it and onto my stomach. In front of a bunch of people.

The whole time I was thinking, "Don't spill the pop on your white clothes." I didn't! A tiny bit slopped out, but not onto me. Got many complements on the fact that I managed to not spill it, too. :)

Then started itching (allergic to newly-mown grass), but didn't want to cause ANOTHER scene by mentioning it. So went and tried to wash it off. I know better than this, am a nurse! But do I listen to that little voice that says, "You're being stupid!" Nooooo.

By the time I came back from bathroom, the little white bumps had turned into giant red and white welts all over my face, neck, arms and legs.

I couldn't have been more embarrassed.

In the car on the way home to get antihistamine and a shower, DH asks, "So, what do have planned for the 4th of July?"

I went to the melon thread.

It was closed! Imagine my shock! :teeth:

How is everyone doing tonight?

Hey there. Doing alright here. Have a bit of a cold though, making my nose all red and raw looking, sounding like a wounded seal, and going through a whole box of kleenex. Other than than, Im good. No wonder I dont have a date this week.

How you doing?

Cool -Beans,
That is so horrible! I bought 2 new white shirts. I KNOW better.

1. Came out of the wash with red stains. DS6 left PEZ in a pocket, apparently!
2. Nice 3/4 sleeve shirt...first day wearing it. Dripped bbq beans on it tonight while making dinner.

grrrrrr.

PS also forgot allergy meds at home this morning, so now I am all stuffed up!

I went to the allergist and he put me on (among other things) Astelin. It is a spray and OMG, it works wonders. From the first day, I haven't had to use the over the counter stuff I was addicted to.

I know it sounds crazy, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my allergy medication :-)

I am on Singulair (which supposedly is supposed to help with both my asthma and allergies) but my allergies are still bad. The only thing that has EVER really helped them is Benadryl, and I can only take it when I go to sleep, because it knocks me out. Unfortunately, it leaves me with a "hangover" the next day, where I am still sleepy and out of it. :sad2:

Yikes...that sucks. I was addicted to Afrin ever since I was pregnant with my daughter (she's 9!). I was SOOO congested when I was pg that I could only sleep sitting up in a chair. It was the worst part (well, other than when the epidural didn't work ;-).

So I go to the allergist and he says that after 8 years of using nose spray, my insides should look like swiss cheese, but they weren't that bad. Anyway, I added up the money I spent on Afrin (~$10/week)x8 years, well, you do the math! I figured that it was cheaper to just pay the allergist!
