Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

Um- work was ok. I was in a decent mood. The office manager left early.

The better part of my day, though: I have an interview on Friday morning for my SIL's old position at the bank. Hopefully that goes well! I need that job.

And, my sister just called- my grandma is going to surprise me with a pool!! Sis swore she wouldn't tell me, but then called to tell me right away just in case I thought it was a really bad idea- then she could talk Grandma out of it. I know my grandma is just trying to cheer me up. She's so great. Plus, I have been complaining that my yard NEEDS a pool forever (my yard is gigantic and looks a little lonely without one).

I'm not sure on the whole pool idea- I mean- she's not buying an expensive one... Just one of those $200 ones from Wal-Fart. It's 16 ft wide, though- and about 3 ft deep: which will be plenty big to get, get wet, and float with a drink (or not- depending on how this month goes )

BUT- pools can be a lot of work. We had one when I was in high school. LOVED it. But this one shouldn't be too bad. I don't know. I'm a little conflicted. But, I think I want it anyway.

Im jealous you're getting a pool. We had one for a few years, cost close to $300 and it was huge. The sweetpea loved it. But it just wasn't meant to last forever. Keep thinking about getting another one. But they are a lot of work. And we did end up putting a herb garden in the part of the yard where the pool was. Still, Im jealous.

See- I have enough room in my yard for a pool. And a garden. And a fenced in area for my dog. And a good sized wiffle ball diamond. And this doesn't count what's covered with trees.

And I'm thinking since I did all the work on the pool before, I know how much work it is, and I can't say that I'd mind all that much. I love floating around on a lounger in the pool. Give me a radio and a sunny day- and I'm happy!

I'm more concerned with the extra costs this is going to come with: chemicals, pool vacuum, filling the stupid thing with water.... All this will take away from our "Saving for Baby" fund.

Maybe I will just get one of those $4.99 pools that are ankle deep and just lay my big bottom in it and have the sweetpea squirt me down every hour or so.

Ok, I must confess I was going to do this to embarrass my dh. Then I thought about taking this old metal trough we have outside and filling that up. DH would be horrified, but honestly, where I live, I doubt anyone would notice anything out of the ordinary. They'd just think it was bath time or something.

I live in a teensy tiny little "town." Seriously- 200 people. We don't even have our own zip code.

It's sort of country around here. I feel like the city mouse sometimes. But it's nice- we don't actually live in "town"; we're right outside of town and don't have neighbors.

Mark and I used to live in an apt., and I would never do that again. People were always having parties and being noisy at all hours. I'm too old and cantankerous for all that.

Well, I'm going to bed. I've had a long day (not hard, per se, just long). I promised dh I would make "stoup" tomorrow. It's his favorite meal now.

I also have to get stuff together for our yard sale. Booo. Oh well- extra "baby fund" money.

No stoup today. No yard sale stuff either. I am so nauseated and sick. I don't know wth is going on. I woke up just feeling super yuck, and all I can get down today is capri suns. I have drank 6 of them. Thus, I can't stop peeing. I don't know why I am so thirsty.

I did manage to eat a saltine and 2 bowls of cocoa pebbles, earlier. Nothing else sounded good.

Well, I ate dinner. Actual food. Time will tell if that was a good idea or not.

So, I have my interview with the bank on Friday. I'm trying not to get my hopes up- it's a recurring theme present in my life right now: I get my hopes up, only to be disappointed. Arg. BUT- I'm also trying to remain positive. I have a good shot- especially since I'm applying for SIL's old position, and she talked me up. On the other hand, I don't want to ASSume anything, KWIM?

It seems like all I do now is wait, though, and it's killing me. Waiting to ovulate. Wait to test. Wait for an interview. Wait to find out if I got hired. Then I'll have to wait to find out what the baby is.

Anyone guess that PATIENCE is not a strength of mine? I'm very instant-gratification oriented.

I feel much better. Not 100% yet, but I'll take it.

Had to get off the couch for a while. I think I was getting bed sores.

Bed sores are not good Beck. Glad you are feeling better. Wish I was. I am so sore its crazy. Its from all the sneezing I did yesterday. I think I pulled all my stomach muscles. Holy cow. You would think my stomach muscles were tougher than that. Considering I usually hold my stomach in about every waking hour you know. But ouch, they are sore today. Especially when I sneeze or cough.

I'm trying to find a new job too, mine is wearing me OUT. I was at my office till 6 today, then got home and was STILL on the phone with customers till 9.

Next weekend is the bachelorette party weekend from my friend. A group of us are heading out of town and going to wine country. So I called this club we are hitting next friday night. I was told that this club was "THE" place to be. I called the club up and a nice guy got on the phone. I asked him a few questions, he gave me suggestions, told me a bit about the town and places I should also check out. We chit chatted for a bit, and he told me to ask for him next week and he is going to comp my entire group. Really nice guy. So we now dont have to wait in line, dont have to pay to get in and I didn't even need to flash the twins. I guess I really am that charming. hahahaha
