I like Amelia, Emily, and Alison. (Emmy for the first two and Allie for the last.) All followed by Marie.

WTH is Mark's problem with Mouse? It is a perfect name? And Toby Keith? How could you do better? I need to have a word with HIM.

For a boy: Spencer Thomas (dh's middle name is Thomas, as is FIL's).

For a girl: Vayla Marie (MIL's middle name is Marie). We'll call her Vaylie. (rhymes with Hailey).

I had never heard it before. But I didn't think it really sounded "made up" either.

I bet if this was a thread with just a few postings that someone other than us would read rotfl2: ) someone would say "I went to school with a girl whose cousin had a brother whose girlfriend's niece was named Vaylie (or Vaylie)

Even though you know darn well you haven't heard it before

Of course. Everyone would know someone named Vayla or Vaylie. I even googled it- not too much came back. A book character. I'm sure someone else has the name, but chances are, if I have a little girl, she won't have to share her name with anyone she knows.

I wanted to name my ds Jake or Jack, but my mom talked me out of it because she had 2 husbands by that name!

Like it's my fault she is going through the unabridged version of the Name Book in husbands!

I can't find anything with Emilee either, so in a way I regret spelling it different (though there are 2 other Emilee's in our school - with under 200 students k-12)! But on the other hand, in the scheme of life, how often do we need our name on stuff?? So, I just buy stuff I can personalize
