Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

Oy- I can't imagine how loud Pop would get with a bunch of cheerleaders.

"Give me a NO!" :lmao:

Pop was too loud and too crowded for my taste. Plus, we could hear a child (presumably- although it sounded like an elephant) running laps in the room above us, and we could also hear (loudly) other people in the room next to us showering or flushing their toilet.

Welcome back Beck! Missed you while you were gone. And yeah, I think you might be the glue for this group. I posted a few times while you were gone, but didn't get much going. Oh well. Ive been a bit busy, as Im sure everyone else has been. Glad you are back. Sounds like you had a good trip. And I didn't think your nieces were as young as they are. Got to give it to you.

And hey, dont be so harsh on cheerleaders, not all of us are bad. lol

Oh, and bad news, we lost our first game tonight. UGH!

Hey Stace! Hmmm- I never really thought of me as glue. I was always rubber. :lmao:

Sorry you guys lost your game- that sucks. I hope they weren't too disappointed.

And I used to be a cheerleader too- not dissing them all- it's just that I know what an excited group of pre-teen/teen cheerleaders can be like, and there's NO WAY I'd want to spend my vacation with hundreds of them. YIKES!!!

Sorry I was out last night- my stupid DSL was acting up- the server wouldn't work. I was bored as he!!

And again- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Hi everyone! I think I am finally returning from the land of TV Season Finales. :rotfl: I think I watched a year's worth of TV this past week.

Is it the weekend yet?!

DH is at work tonight and I'm going to be so bored- I can feel it.

My mom decided to go camping on my birthday. "Well, it is on a Sunday." Like I can help that. But God forbid anyone ever ditch her birthday. Oh well. My Grandma and my sis told her what an a$$ she was being. I won't bother until she calls me on my birthday- then I'll rub in that I'm spending the day with my in-laws since my own mother had better things to do.

So.... dh got me a birthday present without my knowing- sneaky sneaky. Hid it at his mom's house. He brought it home today, and set it in the living room to drive me crazy. And his mom wrapped it and made it unshakeable.

He knows this is killing me.

Thanks again Beck. And I totally feel your pain about being ditched on your birthday by your mom. My parents have never exactly "ditched" me. But I was always told if I wanted to celebrate on my birthday, I needed to go where they went. Even it was camping on a stinking beach. The only reason they are all home this year is because my father is still recovering.

I wonder what your DH got you? Im curious now.

Me too :teeth: I have lived in front of the TV this week...even watched the Will&Grace finale AGAIN last night - and I didn't even like it the first time :lmao:

I am now watching Mona Lisa Smile with Julia ROberts on TV - has anyone else seen it?

I have never seen Mona Lisa Smile. My sis said it was good.

I figured out what DH got me- the wrapping paper is a little bit see-through, and there is a Sephora box in there, which means he got me the Pink Sugar perfume I wanted!! Yea!! Good DH!!

I have never been in a Sephora. I am going to have to go in next time I se one. Sounds yummy...Ping Sugar perfume ;-)

I like Shalimar. It is what my mom always wears. I wonder what that means?

I saw Mona Lisa Smile...it was OK.

Happy Birthday, Stacerita!!!! :woohoo:   :woohoo:

I can't get the other smilies. :(

My mother isn't talking to me because I hung up on her. When I call, she picks up the phone and clicks it off.

Last time she didn't talk for 3 months...best 3 months of my life! :cheer2:

I really liked Mona Lisa Smile.

I watched The Family Stone last night. I'd give it an official rating of "OK". It was entertaining enough to watch, but it wasn't anything special.

Think I might take the kids to see Over the Hedge this weekend. It is supposed to be 96 degrees and humid...yucky.
Got invited to a bbq Monday night. Why wouldn't they plan this any of the other 3 nights this weekend where I don't have to prepare to go to work the next day? Oh well, I am sure it will be fun anyway.

Anybody else doing anything?

Happy Birthday to Stacerita and an early one to Becky!@

Thanks ktpool!

I'm going to dh's cousin's graduation party at noon, then my sis, grandma, and aunt and her boyfriend are coming over and we're going to grill and make homemade ice cream.

Sunday DH is taking me to the art museum and out to lunch, then we're going to go to my in-laws and have dinner there with them and BIL and SIL.

Monday I'm going to spend any birthday money or gift cards I get.

I really liked The Family Stone. I cried and cried. I'm such a goof.

I think I might try to sneak off and spend my gift card from Christmas for CJ Banks. It is an hour drive away, but what the hey! I REALLY need some shorts and short sleeve shirts.

You still have gift cards from CHRISTMAS?! I would have had those puppies spent LONG ago. :rotfl:
