Inspired by bath or shower..

Yep, my daughter does this and thinks she saves time. Doesn't help though -she's still late everywhere she goes!

But brushing at the sink can get soo messy. Little drops can get anyhwere, from the counter to the mirror.

I brush in the shower in the morning, then at work, then at the sink at night.

Mikeeee

I brush my teeth standing at the bathroom sink.
I shave my legs in the shower.

LOL that's weird! :rotfl2:

I've never heard of it....but if it saves you time, go for it! :lmao: :goodvibes

well it is kinda gross to think you spit your toothpaste where the next person is going to stand. If you live alone I guess I understand.

I brush at the sink:woohoo:

 How's it going?

I fell off the carbless wagon. That wagon has rolled on without me. I'm weak. Weak. :sad2: The carbs taste so danged good! I think I'm going to have to strike some kind of balance, sometime. I need to partially purge the kitchen of the illegal stuff. I can cut down. But you know. A girl has to have something that tastes good. It's meant to be.

LOL, me too. I was literally eating a doughnut with choc icing when I typed my previous post to you :)

Okay - didn't want to say it, but that's kind of what I was thinking.. Where do you spit? On your feet? I have a thing about "spitting" anyhow, so maybe that's why it was one of the first thoughts that came to my mind..

Why is it gross? It all gets washed down the drain. :confused3

DH and I both brush in the shower. I don't know why anyone would think it weird, or why anyone should care?

I've never even thought about it. I brush at the sink, but I suppose it's all going down the drain anyway.

I find it ... different.

I have my own shower and two sinks in my home. I don't need two sinks, they just came with the apartment. I better use at least one of them.

But I don't see how it saves time except if I am doing nothing while the conditioner is in. Of course, that's when I shave...

To each, their own!

OK, I'm reviving an old thread since I just read this same thing in a magazine. They claimed it saves both time & energy/water by brushing in the shower.

My question for you shower brushers.....do you then rinse with hot water??

I'm all for saving time in the morning, so maybe I'll give it a try.

I never thought of it!!

But the mention of using hot water to rinse/brush doesn't sound fun. Guess I don't know if I don't try it!!

I brush my teeth in the shower from time to time if I am in a hurry. I usually let my conditioner sit on my hair for 2-3 minutes, and this is when I brush the teeth. If I am not brushing the teeth during conditioner time, I am shaving the legs. Time management at its most effective.:hippie:

And here I was getting worried that it was just me. :rotfl: Yes, I too brush my teeth in the shower sometimes. I multitask well. Why not get it all done while you've got the water running? Glad I'm not the only freak!:thumbsup2 :upsidedow

ETA: As for the spitting questions - the shower stream aims out away from the drain and further back into the bathtub. If I was standing on the drain I wouldn't be getting wet so since nobody actually stands on the drain it's really a non-issue.

No. But I don't take a shower, I take a bath ;)

If I shower in the morning, I brush my teeth in the shower. My bathroom is cold in the mornings, and it's much nicer to stand in a warm shower, wetting down my hair or whatever, than standing in a cold bathroom in my PJs.

I promise there's no toothpaste residue by the end of the shower, and frankly, I'm not sure toothpaste spit is any grosser than dead skin or old hair. If you rinse out or spray down the shower after you're done, what difference does it make?
