Inkedupmomma's 1st PTR ever! Home sweet home..ugh.. TR started..link is up!

It's okay to cry when you send a child off to school, just make sure that you let them know that it is a "happy, you're growing up" cry! I cried today because my youngest son's little girl started kindergarten this afternoon. Ryan, our son, was killed in an industrial accident two years ago. I know he would be so proud of Kaylee and so excited for her. I know that he is watching his sweet little children with much love even though he is not here. Luckily, their mom shares Kaylee and Mason, their 3 year old son with us a lot. They come to dinner frequently and love to have sleepovers. Sorry, just a little bit of a melancholy moment. I still have a good cry every so often. My husband says we just have a problem with our tear glands and we have incontinent eyes!

I will talk to Lindsey about our schedule...Karlyn and family are staying at the Give Kids the World Resort (Make A Wish). The rest of us are staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

Denise

I'm so sorry to hear about your son :( That is awful, and I think you are a strong woman to be able to get past that. I always say I hope I go first, because I'm pretty positive I could not handle any sort of tragedy. That is why I was so freaked out about my grandma. The good lord just didn't equip me with coping skills! Organizational skills yes, coping not so much :) My daughter didn't actually see me crying though. I waited til she was in the building and started crying as I drove off. She hates to see me cry! Thats so nice that they have a special place for them to stay and it's so nice that she gets to have this experience and you get to join! I sincerely hope we get to meet!!

Today was my Son's orientation for Pre-K and that was hard for me, too. He is my only one, so I don't have another one waiting for me at home :sad1:

Parents were allowed to go today to meet the teacher and have him meet the kids in his class and get familiar with classroom.

He was a little upset before we left, but that was only because he was so tired, kept me up all night:scared1:

Once he got in there and met the teacher, he was very calm and relaxed, which was a nice change of pace from his hyper self

Now thursday is his first day of school, and we have to just send him inside with his teacher. We are not allowed to go into school to drop them off. Here hoping he does okay.

How did your daughter day go?

ppictures please or i won't believe it;)

I'm enjoying your PTR. Sounds like alot of us have ENS fears:goodvibes
You like Paul Booth?

ens fears?? you got me there.. what is it lol!! i'm glad you are enjoying though:goodvibes and yes I respect paul booths work although totally not my style. I'm VERY traditional, think sailor jerry. although my right sleev is going to be on the darker side..

I think they do it to make it easier on everyone. they are afraid of the kids hanging onto their parents. This way you make a clean break:confused3

I am glad your daughter did well. But I know how you feel

I know, me too. But I lucked out with these. They fit pretty good.

Have you ever been to torrid dot com? Someone told me about it, and I looked at it really quick. They might have something there that you'd like. And they come in medium and bigger sizes.:goodvibes I don't know anything about their shipping, though.

I buy my jeans from Torrid. I ONLY wear Tripp skinny jeans and they are the only place that carries them. I just ordered a new pair because I shrunk and my others are now too big

Torrid is hot topics plus size store. we have a torrid in our mall. like i said i'm not quite large enough for there clothing but not quite small enough for lets say gaps xl or xxl.. weird I know :(

So, DD had an an appointment at CHOP (children's hospital sorry) today with ENT and don't you know she has to have her tonsils/adenoids removed!! Why couldn't they have found this out years ago or months ago when I asked and then I could have been like im so sorry your getting this surgery..wanna go to disney?? So now I have to miss work for this, and disney.. with no pay!! so what did smart little me do to make us all feel better?? that's right went shopping.. we were going anyways, but it felt good to go after bad news. John was able to snag 3 new pairs of sneakers all for $130.00!! nice comfy, very cool sneakers at that! Plus I convinced him that he needs a pair of vans :) They looked hot on him.. but they weren't on sale :rotfl: OOOh Best part is, the one pair has lime green in them..hehehehe.. stealthy dis addition there and he doesn't even know!! We also got him some plain ol' boring shirts ;/ Then we got Jack another pair of converse and both the kids got Peter Pan, cause I realized I didn't have it on DVD:scared1: how can they go as tink and Peter Pan if they can't watch it on the drive to Orlando!! I also picked up the lil' knife thingy that Peter Pan carries around his waist. Sad to say, but I don't think John and I will be dressing up for MNSSHP... too hot and yeah kinda ran out of time... I hate how that sounds but it's true. Oh Jon also got really cool indie like button down western cowboy type shirts *swoooon* Lurky, I know you know which ones i'm talking about!!! Make out city, I love him in those kinds of shirts!! they were also on sale!! Last but not least I bought my boss some crocs flip flops for her bday!! but I got black.. I'm kinda thinking maybe I should have gotten her some colorful ones?? Not everyone despises color like me and I forget that from time to time :rolleyes1 Oh what the heck I'll even throw in some bonus foodie material, we had lunch at our numero uno fave spot Cheeburger Cheeburger!! seriously if you have one near you, go!! For lunch John,DS, and I all had cheeseburgers and dd had some called the wedge which is fried macaroni and cheese triangles.. yes they are as disgustingly good as they sound!! the kids split a cookies and cream milkshakes and John and I split heaven in form of a white chocolate macadamia nut milkshake!! Everything we had was amazing! but I have to admit I got the smallest cheeburger and hardly had fries and split a shake and I was full full full!! I hope I can "man up" and eat like the fatty I know I am on the Deluxe dining plan!! If not, no big loss, I won;t cry about food like some people on this dis, but I still want to try so much deliscousness!! OK! I am tired and need to sleep, hope you enjoyed my hot tranny mess of a post!

Oh My Gosh, you just make me laugh! Your posts are so wonderful! Don't worry about the black crocs for your boss, my feeling is that you can never have too many pairs of black shoes! They go with almost everything!

Sorry about the tonsils thing! We joke in our family that my youngest daughter has no more disposable parts because by the time she was 18, she had lost her tonsils, adenoids, appendix, and gall bladder! She was in Kindergarten when they took her tonsils and adenoids out and all she got was ice cream and jello...no trip to Disney for her that time!

We do not have Cheeburger places here in Utah that I know of but I would really love some fried Mac and Cheese! I even love the Mac and Cheese at Disney. We do have a Stouffer's plant not too long of a drive away and you can get their Mac & Cheese for a really good price! Yummy!!

Congrats on your single digits mark! I know you hate the flying thing but I have to tell you that I feel the same way about long car drives. Probably has something to do with a few trips with 9 people in a van driving to California!:scared1: I really love my kids but for me that was a recipe for a Migraine! Anyway, I just can't bear the thought of taking long car trips. The 3 1/2 hour drive to Great Grandma's in Idaho is just about my max!

The adults in our family won't be dressing up in costumes for MNSSHP. I am just not that imaginative, I ran out of time and you're right, it is going to be to dang hot!

Denise

Sorry to hear about DD:sad1: but happy to hear that you had a great day shopping......again.

Gotta love the Van's. DH has them too. It sounds like you were able to accomplish a lot during the shopping trip.

We never got to decide on costumes for MNSSHP which bums me out big time. :sad1:

So, 8 days to go! Can you believe it?!?!!??!??!?

Sounds like you had a great shopping trip. I agree, black shoes go with everything. That's pretty much all I buy.:goodvibes

We don't have one of those restaurants on this side of the state. Of course, I don't eat red meat, so I'm not sure I would like it. Do they have other stuff, too?

ugh, i'm so nervous about this!1 I hate when kids have to have surgery. I'm always afraid we will be that tiny chance that something wrong happens.. terrible way to think I know :(

VANS = sexxy!

We never got to decide on costumes for MNSSHP which bums me out big time. :sad1:
I know, I feel dumb that we wont be dressed up :(

NO!! i'm crappin my panst!! seriosuly! ok well not literally but almost!

Oh My Gosh, you just make me laugh! Your posts are so wonderful! Don't worry about the black crocs for your boss, my feeling is that you can never have too many pairs of black shoes! They go with almost everything!

I love that I make you laugh, I'm always afraid that I am too offensive, but I swear even if it comes off offensive it is meant to be funny! and I agree black does go with everything!! too bad I just realized I bought her a mens 8 not a womens..doh:headache:

I shouldn't coplain, especially with what your dgd has gone through. again I give you sooo much credit fordealing with it so well. surgery scares te crap out of me :( and dd is not the surgery type.. not that there is a type, but shes just such a nervous little girl, it makes my heart sad that she has to go through this. and wow your dd was young to get her gallbladder out!! i had mine out at 20.. but i also had kayla when I was 19 and they said pregnancy caused it

http://www.cheeburger.com/locations.asp go to that site. it gives you cheeburger locations !! if there is one even remotely close try it!! i'm also a stauffers mac and cheese fan, so i dont see how so many people hate it at disney.. i dont know how they could mess it up??

see i'm scared of flying.. its not even i hate it, i'm deathly afraid... so really I have no other options.. we would have done the train, but ds is well.. hel on in a baby body.. someone on the train might try to hurt us or I would be getting into fights.. no good either way!

The adults in our family won't be dressing up in costumes for MNSSHP. I am just not that imaginative, I ran out of time and you're right, it is going to be to dang hot!
yeah I started losing steam after all the other planning.. its ok i'm tattooed and people will think its a costume anyways:lmao:
Denise

I leave in 8 days!! arrive in 9!!!:woohoo:

I am going to the Cheeburger Cheeburger when we go to Las Vegas next year for the Nascar Race!:woohoo: Their Vegas location is the closest one to us and I am definitely making our family track it down! Thanks for the link.

I know it's hard to trust your child to the doctor but know that they wouldn't do it if they didn't think it would make her life better. Just trust! I have been a pediatric nurse for almost 20 years now and I know that doctors who chose to work with children are truly special people! Let me know before she goes to the hospital and if you don't mind, I'll remember her in my prayers!

Denise

Sorry to hear about your DD. I was supposed to have my tonsils out years ago, but never did (was in college and had a job, just didn't have the time to do it), so I can't let you know from personal experience how bad it is. A friend of mine has a daughter who just had it done, and she was perfectly fine within a few days.

Sounds like you had a great shopping trip. I agree, black shoes go with everything. That's pretty much all I buy.:goodvibes

I hear the older you are the worse that surgery is.. so maybe your lucky?? lol as for the restaurant.. they serve chicken.. but its a cheeseburger joint.. thats there main focus ;/

I actually trust the dr and hospital completely, they are after all ranked numero uno in the world! but again, surgery is never easy.. god him/herself could come down and say they wanna do it and i'd still freak out!:lmao: I will def let you know! I appreciate it so very much! as of right now shes scheduled for Nov 18, as long as all the blood work comes back ok!

Denise

I do know that kind of shirt! Hmmm.... I wonder if one would look swoony on my DH...... :cutie:

So - I missed it - DD can still go to Disney even though she had her tonsils out, right?
