Yes but the JURY would be randomly selected possibly a percentage from the post counts aquired:

1 with less than 50 posts

1 51-200 posts

2 201-500 posts

2 501-1000 posts

4 with over 1000 posts

and 1 Diser with 30 points (mercy person)

I got points for writing " pixie dust to you ", how crazy was that ? And I've gotten points for saying " blah, blah, blah " because someone called my pup a mutt, I know some people run to the mods like small children run to their mommies.

That's crazy!

I got my points for a moving monorail siggie! I loved it but found a smaller version. Who knows it might be too big too. Previous to the points I was warned twice about my siggie pix being too big.

It just always gets my goat when I see other big siggies out there but I always have to shrink mine!

I wasn't bashing the mods. Actually, I think this is a very busy board and they do the best job they can (which is usually outstanding). I was complaining about some of the their "little helpers."

You can keep track of you points through your UserCP. It will show it at the bottom of the screen with the expiration date. If you get another 10 points, then you'll lose your sig and PMing privileges. I am completely pointless for the first time in ages, but no telling how long that will last.

I got a warning for mentioning this random little grammatical style that kind of bugged me. My post wasn't even on the same thread as the thread I had seen the bothersome post on. Turns out that that same grammatical quirk had been an issue on yet another thread by an altogether different poster. Are you confused yet? I was too, especially since I had not even read the thread that the grammatical thing was an issue on.

Now I finally feel like I belong here on the Dis.

i got 30 points for a filter violation, which in my opinion was stupid considering some of the words people don't get points for on the TB.

what annoys me is that a close friend of mine said damn on here and got points for it when another girl on here goes around saying damn(and hissed with a p) all the time but never gets points for it.

and now i'll go crawl back to the TB...

I did get some warnings though, from teh nice mods on the DLP board. I think the last one was regarding... someone and Perla and Suzy...

I've received 40 points for a major personal attack for advicing someone to get an electrical socket cover to prevent injury. I was so concerned that they get one, that I was willing to spend the 50 cents myself & send it to them if they couldn't get one. (Former insurance agent here. Heck, we used to give out smoke detectors to people if they didn't have one.) So, somehow wanting to make sure someone stays safe is a major personal attack. I had never even heard of the mod that gave me the points & I've been here for years. I guess the mod didn't know me very well. Alot of my posts are about offering advice & information.

I finally got my first points about a month ago in the Restaurant board in a thread debating a Disney rule/policy. I gave my opinion and was explaining to a newcomer (to that thread) what we were actually debating; I said that what the OP was asking/suggesting was IMHO going 'around' the Disney policy and was, IMHO lying and stealing.

I got a, IMHO, condescending PM that I was arguementative and sarcastic. I was so angry and hurt. I've seen SO much worse here on the DIS, especially on the Community Board (political threads for example). It caused me to take a little break from the DIS, especially the Restaurant board, and I actually considered not coming back to the DIS (yeah, right, I couldn't last!).

I'm a little disillusioned with the DIS now, between that infraction and some other things that have happened over the last couple of years). What a shame.

I've got my eyes wide open now though.

Actually, this is one of the reasons I'm on the DIS now. I used to be on another board. A certain mod wrote me two nasty PMs about something I posted, although others were posting in that thread way worse things than I said, but I was the only one reprimanded. I never went back to that board, and I started DISsing.

I've received warnings here, but they have always been nice PMs.
