Hi! Hopefully someone here can help me out. I have been surfing the internet, trying to get information to understand just how the DVC works so that my husband and I can decide whether we are interested in purchasing a new or "used" DVC interest. If you have information or know a good place to find out all the "in's and out's" of the DVC, I would really appreciate your help! Thanks in advance!:earsboy:

A good place to start is the DVC FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) provided right here on the DIS. You can get there by clicking on the link at the top of the Forum or by Clicking Right Here

Feel free to ask questions about anything you don't quite understand.

Check out the official website for more info on the DVC resorts and the Disney Vacation Club:

You might also want to call and request the free vacation club video. Info on how to do that should be in the info provided by the above link.

Best wishes!

Welcome to the DIS! :)

For starters, you can read our DVC FAQ's- a link is at the upper left of this page.

That will give you the basics and may generate some more specific questions about the program. Please ask as many questions as you'd like right here. There are many DVC members willing to assist with the ins and outs of the program.

You can also call 1-800-800-9100 and request the free DVC video and information packet. That will also give you some more insight into DVC.

Enjoy!

You have come to the right place to find out everything you ever wanted to know about DVC! This website has EVERYTHING on DVC right now, and you can do a search once you know what to ask. At the top of this page you will see "DVC FAQs", which you can click on to find out the basics. If you get to the point where you understand about the points, then you can click on DVC point charts, and of course you need to be clicking on and reading several of the threads on these boards.

The first thing you need to decide is whether or not you MUST stay on-site in luxury accommodations. If your answer is "no", then go no further, because DVC isn't for you. Your second question is whether you like to go to Disney/Florida on a regular basis. Again, if you answer "no", stop, because DVC isn't in your future.

DVC is for those who vacation regularly, stay on-property, want luxury accommodations, and want to visit Disney often. DVC is a less expensive (over time) option to get those things, and it gives you far more flexibility and value for your money than any other timeshare.:wave2:

if you go to WDW at least once a year and stay in a deluxe or moderate resort - DVC will overtime save you money

If you go to WDW once every three years or more - then no - DVC will not save you money.

if you go to WDW more often than once a year - DVC was made for you!!!!
