Info on Sun canopys

Hi we are coming to Orlando in September, we are looking for a place to possibley buy a Sun canopy for our DS wheelchair. In the past we have used a sun parasole that could be used on a baby buggy. DS is now too old (17) for this but won't keep on a hat!

We are from the UK so there is no demand here for such things!!!
The only things we have found here are glorified umbrellas, and when they are up who ever is pushing can't really see where they are going, so in a crowd this would cause probs.

I second that question! I would love to find a good sunshade for a Convaid stroller. Yes, I know they make one, its expensive and doesn't look like it would work well. Someone has to make canopies/shades for wheelchairs and strollers, don't they?

Can you contact the company where you purchased the chair and see if they can help you find something? Maybe they could at least put you in the right direction.

Sorry Ahrizel, I just read your post. I don't even know where to start except the wheelchair company or the medical supply company you deal with. They're usually pretty knowlegeable.

Thanks for replying, but our sons wheelchair is from 2 different companies. The seating system comes from Matrix and the tilt in space frame is from Shadow. As I said before there is no real call over here (UK) for Sun Canopys. I have tried both companies and our local wheelchair repair centre and the issuing place. So we hope to buy 1 at the start of the holiday. Any ideas for a place to buy in Orlando?

We don't have any sunshade for DD's wheelchairs, but I did do a search a while back and found a few companies.
