Has anyone stayed at the Buena Vista Suites and what are your thoughts on this resort:confused3 We are thinking of staying here during August 09.

I'm also interesting on anyone's opinion, we are thinking of staying there in Dec 09.

We stayed there in 2005. We enjoyed it. The room was big enough for the 4 of us. They have a free breakfast buffet. We always filled up before we hit the parks. The big plus about this place...it is right down the road from WDW. Seriously, we went out of the parking lot, made a right, went through the light and in a few minutes...we were at the arch for WDW.
If you do stay there, be careful of the scrambled eggs they offer up, I hear they are powdered. I never ate them, I had biscuits and gravy!
Also, they have an "egg bar" area where the chef will fix your "real" eggs however you want them.
Here is a link to trip advisor..maybe this will help you make a decision.
I think I left a comment on that site back in 2005/2006. You may want to look through it because I think there are photos on there.

We stayed here for 2 nights last month before our cruise. All of the rooms have been recently renovated, so everything seemed nice and clean. There was a small microwave and refrigerator and a flat screen tv in the living room and another flat screen in the bedroom. There was a safe and iron in the closet. I did think the room was a little on the small side, but we really didn't spend much time in the room - we got in after midnight the first night and spent the next day at Epcot. The hotel is really convenient to the parks - just a few minutes straight up the road. Staff was friendly and we never had a problem finding parking - not sure how it would be during peak travel times though... Includes a free full breakfast - they had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits/gravy, cereals, yogurt, canned fruit, bagels, donuts, breads, etc. I think one day they had pancakes. It was fine - we all found something to eat even my extremely picky son. For drinks there was oj, apple juice, milk, water & coffee. We didn't use the pool or try the onsite sit down restaurant so can't comment on those. For what we paid, it was definitely worth it - we are a family of 5 so to find a clean hotel that includes breakfast for only 71.00 night is a bargain to us! They run one day specials every Thursday and that is how we got the 71.00 rate.

Hope this helps - have fun planning!

The pool at the sister property looks way nicer.....can guests of BVS use the pool at the Caribe? Also, the shuttle busses....are they little shuttles, or more like the Disney transportation busses? Are their restroom facilities on these busses? I am thinking of staying there in May for 5 nights, we are considering renting a car. I usually stay on Disney property but honestly, the prices are getting outrageous. We are planning on coming back in December again and will likely stay at the Poly then. I made a res at the Poly already for December for the family but this May it will be just me and DH and honestly need to save some money somewhere! Any info would be appreciated.
