infant cost confusion?

We brought our DD at 1 year old and she was 176.00 for a four day cruise. We also did not have to wait until we had a DOB, our reservation said TBA baby Carlin (our last name).

When we rebooked onboard in 2011 we were in the process of waiting to adopt. Disney put a TBA and our last name for a child listed as under 3 with DOB to added later. When we finally adopted last year we just called and added his name and DOB.

Interesting! Never thought to do TBD! I waited until my baby was born this February. We got home from the hospital and I called: pediatrician, HR office at work, TA. LOL.

One strange thing-I recently did this (added a TBD baby and then added the birthdate after she was born in February). Note that once you add someone without a birthday, you cannot log onto the DCL website anymore. You just get errors saying someone in your party doesn't have a birthdate. It happened when they changed the system. As soon as I added her birthday, it was fine. Totally weird, but I checked with someone else on the same cruise and they encountered the same thing. Not a reason not to do it, just FYI.

Also note you have to pay the deposit for TBD baby when you book.

It's a good idea to add the baby TBD ASAP because the number of kids allowed for that age range may be maxed out and you could be denied booking them. It could also be affected by the muster station being full.

thx! I added as TBD and cost was about 480, 4th guest.
