Inexpensive Hotel for Universal...thinking Priceline but a ?

Do all of the hotels in that area have shuttles to Universal? I was thinking of trying for a 2.5 or 3 star hotel but would have to have one with a shuttle to US as we won't have a car.

Not every hotel has a shuttle to the park. You may want to skip Priceline this time & book directly with a hotel that will have a shuttle. It would ruin your trip if you end up with one that didn't... don't take that chance.

why dont you try HOTWIRE ,then look on this LIST (stolen from BETTERBIDDING.COM
Then you could see approximatly which hotel you could get,then work out from the hotels website if they offer shuttles?

does that make sense????

WE ALWAYS FLY IN A DAY EARLY AND STAY AT A CHEAPER HOTEL ON THAT DAY, THEN MOVE TO THE PORTOFINO ON THE NEXT FULL DAY OF OUR TRIP, THE LAST HOTEL WE USED WAS THE HAMPTON INN, WHICH WAS ABOUT A 5 MINUTE TRIP TO UNIVERSAL AND THEY DID HAVE A SHUTTLE THAT RUNS EVERY 30 MIN. IF I RECALL RIGHT, BUT CHECK ONLINE FOR THE HAMPTON INN AND IT WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE INFO YOU NEED, I BELIEVE WE PAID $69 A NIGHT.

We've stayed at the AmeriSuites almost right outside the gates. I think they have a shuttle, but we just walked over. I don't remember the price, but we used one of those coupons from the books you get at rest stops.

I have found this book to have the best discounts, cheaper than any of the web site booking companies.

Only catch is some are fist come first serve basis. But some allow you to make reservations.

I use this book when I travel anywhere in the US.
