My girlfriends and I want to go to an affordable luxury all inclusive resort for about 5 days 4 nights during 2/27-3/4. The only problem is I have no idea where to start. We'll be flying out of ohare. What is a "good" deal and how do you find them? Any places or resorts you can recommend? Really any insight including good websites would be greatly appreciated!

'Affordable' can mean a lot of things. What is your budget? Do you have passports? Where do you want to go?

Sorry should have made that clearer..600-700 per person is our budget. There's a total of 4 of us and we all have passports. We're open to anywhere. The only resorts I've ever really heard of are in Mexico and we aren't picky about cities as long as it should be warm.

My husband and I got a great deal through "ME by Melia" they are all inclusive and the price was very good for us. Plus, they have different locations to choose from. A friend of mine stayed at the one in Cabo and LOVED IT! It was a great location, very good food and they got a 'last minute deal' for 50% off. (I don't know exactly what they paid, but 50% off is always good!)

we paid $568 for each of us...I think my friend paid a little less.

Cancun. The Moon Palace. Last year we got a flight out of NY on JetBlue for $198 pp. I don't know if you all want to share one room with two beds, but if that's okay with you, I think you can stay there for that amount. I think the Bahama's and Caribbean will cost more.

www.funjet.com has great deals from O'Hare.

www.applevacations.com also has some great deals.

They will run a deal where you pick a level, but don't know what resort it is. It is normally a VERY good price. I think they call it a "Square Apple Deal".

We were very happy with Funjet and stayed at Bahia Principe in Cancun. Very nice and within your budget.

I get emails from cheapcaribbean.com and bookit.com all the time w/ specials for the all-inclusive places. Some of them even include airfare. Can't help you w/ a specific place, though.

If you do end up going, be sure to post what you got and a trip review. An all-inclusive is on my to-do-someday list!
